Just Last Week.....

Have I been gone this long? It's been a good 2 months since my last blog post, and certainly I miss blogging. Life has gotten so much busier on my side of the world, and with any free time, I will be spending it with my special little guy. Scrapping has also lessened in the past months, and only project on my desk would still very much be trying to catch up in my Project Life.

I still very much love scrapbooking, wanting to document as much as I can with all the memories we go through with our ever growing up little boy. So how do you cope with very little energy at the end of each day, and heaps of photos taken to yet be documented?

I don't intend to stop, since the very day i started this hobby was to have a lasting memory for Kaylen to have as he grows up, and how sweet it is that each time we look through and flip the layouts, he smiles. That's enough for me to know that he appreciates and likes what I do, so never will I stop this.

I'll definitely keep this space going.......just glad to be back......

A Month to Love.....May

It's finally May, and our lil guy turns 5 this May. Can't believe it that I've 5 great years looking at him grow up, 5 years being at mommyhood which is the best thing ever that can happen to me, 5 years of so much more love for this lil one, 5 years of figuring out how to do my job best at bringing him up.......This is why i love the month of May.

He will be 5 in another 19 days time, and so much to be doing and prepping cause we'll be celebrating this birthday this year in Hong Kong. A trip to Disneyland is what we're giving him this year for his birthday, and before we leave I've still to prepare for his birthday party at school.

How can you not love this lil one to bits......my every day source of strength, my driving force.....

And on the other hand besides being busy with daily stuff, and getting so tired in the last 2 weeks that I didn't get to do as much scrappy stuff except for a commissioned canvas piece, and a mini album for a good friend's daugther. Here's what I've done for my Project Life from week 8 to 11.

Have a great start of the week and thanks for coming by.

My Bestie....

This is my bestie.....since some 22 years ago (it should be more than this number of years cause we've been in similar Primary class but just didn't cross path to be friends yet.....). We're the sort of bestie that don't meet up that often (you can literally count the number of times we meet a year due to our schedule), but each time we meet, we can never finish catching up, and chatting just keeps on going....We're the sort that will like the same things in life, and chances are might end up buying same things as well.....but both of us are the direct opposite in character, and we are always laughing that the other half we marry is so much like each other.....that's us!!

I've the chance to meet up with her for lunch late last week....and was indeed a happy time cause i haven't seen her since many months ago, and since when she found out she has a little one coming on the way.....she is embarking of this wonderful journey of being 1st time mom, and i can't be any happier for her. I get to meet her lil bump as well.....5 months along, and i'm waiting to the day i meet her lil girl......Here's some photos taken with my Iphone, and i told her must take photos cause i want her to be in my Project Life.....and so is that bump of hers.....lol...It also happens that the day we meet was "International Friendship Day"!!!....

& lunch was at The Ship at Nex. & it brings me back to when i was younger where my dad will bring me to The Ship at International Building....remembering the good ol days, and as long as it's western...i'll opt for steak....& both of us like our steak - well done....yes to many it's like rubber...but as long as we don't see blood, we're good....lol

To my dear bestie - Wendy, thank you for being in my life, and for all these years even though I don't see you as often as i love to, that you're there for me. To all these wonderful years of friendship, and definitely growing old with you....gracefully that is....Love ya bestie!!

Over last weekend......

We ate....my all time favourite cupcakes from Twelve Cupcakes....

We scrapped with great company....my 2 favourite people......Kay & G scrapping seriously....

We washi our way through our scrapping pieces.....Kay's a fan like me of washi tapes....

We walked around my parent's neighbourhood in the evening where they have this new place opened called - The Greenwich.....love the atmosphere there.....& we found they have Awfully Chocololate there.....yums!!

Can't believe that one weekend flies by so quickly, as well as this week practically whizzes past and since it's a short 4 day work week, I'm welcoming the long weekend with open arms. It always means with public holidays, total family time which we need for the 3 of us. It's often just me and Kay spending our weekends together, and often without Jayce so that's the downside sometimes to him building the father and son relationship which is as important as the relationship I share with my little guy. Haven't thought about where we will be going, or what we will  be doing, just as long as it's the 3 of us.

Till my next post, have a happy Easter and a long weekend!!!

Friends are always good for the soul.....

No doubt each time whenever I get the meet my close friends, it always does wonders to my heart, and naturally makes me so happy. Be it seeing familar faces, or spending that precious amount of time, it always makes me feel blessed to just have my dear friends. It does look like I really have to have time with my friends other then my beloved family, and my dearest little guy.

Just last weekend, I've spent great time G after months of last seeing her.....and this time I had the chance to bring Kay with me......I must tell you just how much Kay adores her to the extent that he wants to go home with G...LOL...G's really very good with him.

Here's us in the car on our way to meet G at Raffles City......for lunch & a visit to the LSS....

All that fun at lunch....and a catch up for us at Watami.....

& thanks Aunt G for this uber cute durian suitcase which is his 3rd in his collection. He has already gotten the apple & watermelon suitcase from his previous visit to the LSS.......He proclaims that this is now his "work" bag.

And with all that good time with G, she's also gotten me my very 1st SMASH journal. Thanks dear. Am surely going to start SMASHING within it, although I've been thinking about what I would like to journal about (since my Project Life records our everyday, and I still love Project Life for the very reason why i started, and I wanted to keep my SMASH journal to record other stuff)......definitely about the one true love in my life, my dear little guy - Kaylen!! Still has yet to iron out what about Kay should go into my SMASH journal, and how to decorate my cover page.....

& how can i not get the other SMASH products to go along..............seriously smashed a big hole in my wallet for sure!! Love SMASH so much that I grabbed some of the SMASH items and the SMASH theme baby journal for my close pal, Wendy who is embarking on her journey to motherhood.....how exciting!!!

My last weekend's been great even though I had only 1 weekend day with Kay as I needed to work through my last Saturday, but it still feels great to still spend that day with him and G.

Looking forward to more of my time spent with my friends soon.....seriously need to get down to allocating my time to spend time with them soon.

RAK Giveaway.....

It's about time my scrap area needs a tidy....and as well as the rest of my house since we can't seem to keep up with tidying up, cleaning up the house. We've decided after the longest time to engage cleaning professionals to come take care of this since Jayce is already working 7 days a week, and really I've a superb hubby that takes care of the house stuff to the best he can, and i too have no further energy at the end of each day to do housework like cleaning the window and grills, dusting, mopping, disinfecting etc, so we're leaving that in the hands of the experts.

So now i have to just take charge of my scrap area. So while the cleaning lady is cleaning away, there I was clearing up my scrap desk. Even my Project Life basket of supplies is getting out of hand, and calling out for attention to be packed, and the overflowing of washi tapes from the basket (decided to go through the washi tape, and select which ones i wanted to use for my Project Life, but it also seems after the sorting to still look as much...lol)

Here's my space before packing .......

It's also very very quiet around the house since it's only me and the cleaning lady (other then the vacumming), and Kay was off for his morning Chinese lessons, it's going to be pretty much a leisure Saturday morning from now on for me (even though I had no choice to just be away from Kay that couple of hours), but at least we now have a much dust free home which Kay needs badly cause he has super sensitive nose, skin and lungs since young. So before having to go to work in the afternoon, I spent just a short half an hour after clearing up the desk to continue further into my Week 8 of Project Life.....hope to complete Week 8 by Sunday.....Here's just one part....I happen to fall in love with chevron design stuff.....even toying with the idea to get chervon paper gift bags from the Etsy store for Kay's upcoming 5th Birthday goodie bag....

And as promised....A much needed RAK Giveaway....it's been ages since my last RAK, so a mix of brands....some spools of ribbons, washi tapes, pearls and blings!! So leave me a comment by Wednesday, and I'm annouce the winner on Thursday, 29th March.

Have a great Saturday you all while I look forward to going home to see my lil guy, and looking forward to Sunday where I get to spend more time with Kay, as well as meeting up my dear dear pal G for a shopping trip at the LSS!!
