s.c.h.o.o.l

April's a happening month for us, with weddings, holidays and not to mention Kay's starting school too on the 1st of April. April just went past me just like this with so many of these memorable events, and school experience for Kay is definitely one. He loves going to school everyday, he loves his teacher - Mrs Branson, he loves being around his friends although the pre-nursery class he is in now has only 5 of them. Seeing him go through school, and being there for his very 1st day was great for me. I was more of the worrying sort of mommy as to whether if he would be sobbing on his very 1st day, or he would not enjoy himself, and many what if, but truly i got to lighten up and stop worrying, at the end of it, Kay was totally not sobbing at all when I left (you should see, i left within seconds of dropping him off at school), and he smiled, and smiled and smiled, and before when we're waiting for class to start, he was already peering through the glass doors and can't wait to be part of what's inside.

This are the photos from his 1st day at PCF. I love this 1st photo the best (it's also now on my desktop at work), taken when we're in the car on our way to school....you're so right that you'll be seeing this photo on my upcoming LO, and a mini album about Kay's 1st shool experience...

I made sure that i took time off from work to just be with him, even though grandma, grandpa & Uncle Yixi were all there to share this time with him....

Kay just gladly waved goodbye to me from his classroom

He's grown up, isn't he? Many of you blog pals who's following my blog eversince have seen Kay's growing up days, and you've been a part of his life cause i enjoy sharing experiences & stories of him, and our family. Thanks for constantly giving love & regards to Kay through your comments, i love you gals!!

I'm looking forward to a family filled weekend, shopping with Jayce & Kay tomorrow as we pick out his very early birthday present at Toys R'Us(we're debating if we should get him his 1st trainers wheeled bicycle, cause Uncle Yixi seems to be getting him a real functioning digicam..which i hope not cause it's going to be trashed up for sure, please note Yixi if you are reading this), a trip to my pal Caroline who's my housemate in Perth for 2 years, it's been like 2 years since i met her, and she's about to pop her No. 2 anytime now, and meet her lil Princess Tiffany who's turning 2 this year (the last time i saw her, she was only 1 month old), and on Sunday, a good extended family lunch at Goodwoork Park Hotel, and an early Mother's Day Dinner celebration with my mom & grandma.

I enjoyed April, and I'm off to welcoming May since it's Kay's 3rd Birthday in May, and I'm already planning what we'll be doing for his 3rd birthday party.

Just happy to be scrapping...

Just glad to be back in my comfort zone of scrapping for Kaylen again, and not to mention scrap shopping again within just a few days of my 1st ever since returning from my holiday, and i get to go through my scrap retail theraphy with G. I certainly missed meeting her, talking & chatting about everything under the sun, and just to catch up for an hour+ over lunch and shopping for scrap supplies was just like the good old days. We're trying to stop shopping, and use our ever so growing pile of supplies, but each time something pretty pops up at our LSS, we just go weak in our knees. You should see the both of us yesterday at the store, doing our best not to buy everything (ok that applies more to me...hahaha). Thanks G for your time.

Here's me latest fun & cheery LO (away from my usual floral filled LO's) of Kaylen & his funny faces of all time. Showed this to him this morning and he just said: " Nice!!!", and went on to making this exact face in the car. I love this boy to bits i tell you.

Indulge

that's what i've been doing for the last 2 weeks at least with spending loads of time with my 2 boys in Szechuan, having them by my side, enjoying our 1st official family holiday in the beautiful sights of Jiu Zai Gou....and not to forget my very 1st time seeing snow cause it started snowing (we just boarded on the plane when it started snowing) on our last day when we departed back to Szechuan. I just stared for the longest time out of my window, and enjoyed the sight so much.

Jayce with Kay (who's not in the mood to take any photos on this day)

It's moutains, clear blue lakes, clouds, trees and all things magical here at Jiu Zai Gou

The lovely cherry blossoms at this time of the year, they say October is the best part cause it will be another sort of sight you get at Jiu Zai Gou with all the different colours of the trees & plants.

Me and Jayce at one of it's beautiful waterfall

Having my brother with me was great cause we hardly get time in our everyday life to be talking much, and the fact that i had practically everyone i love with me during this holiday was all i can ask for....

Came back home to some good old shopping theraphy, and got myself a LV Galliera PM bag....and i'm eyeing next on a key pouch from their Monogram Idylle Canvas in Fusain colour.

and how can any shopping theraphy of mine not include scrapbooking supplies, so here's a peak at the latest LO using DoodleBug's design's latest papers....

Have a great Wednesday!!

I'm Back.....

to the everyday life. Yes missing the fact that after spending a good 10+ days with Kaylen, family & friends, I'm getting abit laid back of having to just enjoy Szechuan for their scenary, their food (yes it's my sort of food), and a whole lot of cultural experiences. But a part of me, wanted to just come back home cause i dreaded the cold weather, the horrific drivers in China, and not to say their mannerism. This trip was enriching, sights at Jiu Zai Gou was literally like we were in magical land, loads of cultural & history of the folk people living there, and a chance to enter a folk home and experience their lives (Kay actually got invited by young folk lady to dance with her in front of the crowd, and he wasn't even afraid).

Any holiday definitely has to have photos, and I was fortunate to have my brother-in-law who's a professional photographer, my brother with his Canon, and my sis in law's, aunts & my mom with their digi cam and snapping away , so at the end of the whole holiday, I took less than 10 photos, i've seen some of the photos taken, and yes i know i would have loads coming my way for this holiday, and Kay's got tons of super duper great shots during this trip. So 1 mini travel album will be created for this holiday of his for sure.

We're all rested well during the weekends when we returned, and i was already itching to start scrapping again, and had some time as well to get organised again.

Here's 2 LO for my dear brother and sis-in-law, and as my sis in law scraps from time to time, she has her own 12x12" album to store this, so i thought why not scrap her LO's.

Till we meet again.....

I'll be missing you all blog pals, everything & anything about scrapbooking, so for now, my latest LO of my dear lil taken when he was at my brother's church wedding in February. I titled this LO - "Ask", cause Kay's at a stage now of all questions. The very 1st question i remembered clearly that came my way was " mummy, what is that?. After this, came all the "W" questions like "which one", "what's that sound".....and i'm betting that i will get "why?' not long after this too. I love hearing him ask, and somethings he does this asking thing over and over again.

Working again with Girls' Paperie papers & Maya Road's latest lovely chipboard flag banners (gosh i was so glad that i managed to get a box of these flags). I just love the trends of scrapping where you get the owls, then chandeliers, after which birdcages, and now these adorable flag banners.

All Time Happiness....

My all time favourite lil guy who's all about making funny faces before the start of his Uncle Yixi's & Aunt Jianxi wedding dinner , and nothing proper from him(i made his tie neat, but less than 1 second, it's sticking out again) as always at our room's window at Fullerton Hotel.

Wedding photo of Mr & Mrs Tan Yixi taken by Bryan Jean Photography.

And of course, congratulations to this happy couple, and a life journey full ahead of them. As a sister, I can never be happier to see both my youngest brother find love, and now embarking on a brand new life of building a family of their own.

For me, loads of wedding photos more to be scrapping since both my brothers are now all married, some scrappy projects to take pictures of, and 1 family luggage awaiting for me to conquer and pack before leaving this coming week to Szechuan.

Have a great weekend!!
