Mandarin 101, here we come...

I'm totally embarassed to say that i suck at Mandarin, and all i've learnt in school somehow has all been returned back years ago when i left school, and from then all it's english for me all the way. I just can't imagine how i've gotten through trying to speak Mandarin, and i'm very concerned that for us not speaking mandarin at all is making a huge impact on Kaylen. The last time we tried speaking to Kay in Mandarin, he was just giggling away at us non stop and when grandma tried singing in Mandarin (it's alot worst), Kay just giggled even more.

For Kay's 1st 2 years, we've been practically speaking at home (be it at great grandma's place, or at my in-laws with the occasionally mandarin speaking folks), it's almost everything in english(even grandmas are speaking english to him).

From June onwards, i've signed Kay up for fun learning at Growing up Gifted http://www.gugifted.com/main.htm, and i love the fact that it's only once a week on weekends, with each session being only 1 1/2 hours, and most importantly it's filled with fun, fun and more fun learning stuff like creative art, musical & rhythm(he loves musical instruments), cooking & play, story telling, songs, and most importantly it's done in english & mandarin. To me it's so important that Kay learns through play & enjoy himself with such interactive sessions (hand painting, puppets, the use of aromatic spices to watching the scientific changes which takes place during popcorn making), and he would have a chance to interact with kids between 18 months to 3 years of age, and the fact that he will have his 1st brush with mandarin (gosh he would be the only one giggling away again which i can just imagine for his 1st session). It's also exciting that i get to spend this sessions doing things with him.

Kaylen's everydays are usually filled with play, running around, watching grams do chores, evening walks at the nearby park, and occassional TV watching of his fave - Word World at this moment (he is able to know says both these words when it comes to watching this show), and he learns through his words from this program, and we come to realise that Kay does not like much sitting down, or reading through his storybooks as he would do in the past, and we certainly have a tough time sometimes during story time cause he would be wanting to be flipping pages after pages as we read. I'm not insisting, and would just let him be. There are just times when he wants to be doing his own stuff in his own time, and doesn't feel like doing anything else except that, i would just leave him be. It's going to be worst if i insist that he does this or that, and so till he is able to allow me to reason out why we need to be doing certain things, i'm just happy watching him enjoy his daily playtime.

Have a beautiful Tuesday , and thanks you all so much for leaving Kaylen with such wonderful birthday wishes. HUGS!!!

He is two

Kaylen turns 2 today, and we had a blast of a time celebrating it yesterday with our families. To Kay, he was practically wondering why he was getting gifts & opening presents after presents, and to why there are so many people he knows visiting.

2 years ago, he came into my life, just a lil one, but look at him now, i'm just contented to seeing him grow up being this individual who has a strong determination to get things done, shy at times around people, and yet filled with warmth in his heart. He is building his very own personality as he grows, and i'm just so proud of him, and so thankful for being given him.

Happy Birthday Sweetie!!! Wishing you the time of your life...I love you.

He says...

For the last 3 weeks, i'm just one happy mama having to each day coming back from work, knowing that Kaylen had said new words. It's just amazing to what i'm hearing from him know although we've been awaiting patiently for him to be ready one day to be talking to us which now, we are managing simple conversations with him day to day.

Now he says:
  • dadd e - used to be used dad dad, and know he calls out dad e.(*no sign of mummy yet, just ma ma)
  • ah ma, gong, gu, zou, nie nie (in hokkien for some of our family members)
  • where is it? - by far the longest statement
  • walk walk
  • dark dark
  • it's stuck
  • car
  • cake
  • duck
  • see
  • fly
  • ball
  • socks
  • shoo (for shoe)
  • wet
  • cold
  • blue / red
  • draw
  • park
  • hide
  • bubbles (we have a pet maltese whom kaylen loves to follow around)

We're taking this talking development as he grows cause it's no point worrying that why he's not saying much now, and why others are faster. It's just like this in each lil one's growing years. Be it fast or slow at learning, as parents, i believe we don't want to push them too much at such a young age, but yet allow their lil minds to develop through social interaction with people around us (old or young), their contact with the environment, and i'm always for the fact that i teach kaylen through having daily conversations about everything under the sun, or through songs that we sing with him. To have a childhood in our todays time seems difficult cause the world we live in seems to be pulling us towards the thinking that we should be putting our lil ones to make use of their stong learning power now from the age of 3 to learn everything from music, to languages, to dance etc.

Both me & jayce had talked about Kay's development and having many experienced working mothers giving us advise in our workplace, we sort of starting to shut out what we have to hear cause after all Kay's ours to decide, and we've long decided when Kay was still in my tummy that no, we're not the ones who would push Kay to do things he is not interested in, and he is only going to go through just regular nursery, and then to Kindergarten, that's about it. We want him to enjoy play now, he learns when he plays, he learns when he has conversations (even with baby language) with everyone in our family. When he is ready, he would be cause when he was at playgroup, teachers there were asking if i wanted for him to be upgraded to the 2 year old group where they will sit and learn ABC's etc, and i figured out that Kaylen's not ready to be sitting down yet to co-operate, and i'm not willing to put him through without him understanding why he has to be sitting down for a certain amount of time.

He grows, and compared to when i was dealing with him when he was at 21 months, he is totally much more easy to handle now, he stops and listens when i tell him that he is not behaving, he whines lesser (he whines each time i walk away from him, to go pack my scrap stuff , which was only a very short distance away), and we believe he is slowly understanding things, and why at times it has to be the way it is. Sometimes to little ones, it doesn't have to make sense you know. On my part, i'm also understanding him better, what his favourite songs are when we play the CD (cause he would whine to the song he hates to hear), even with his baby language, i would be able to guess what he is saying to me, and i find myself being more patient as a result. Jayce at times does not pick up on Kay's mood, and at time he is left thinking cluelessly as to why Kay is behaving this way. I try to keep Jayce updated so that he is not left out on his growing days, but you know jayce belongs to the group of daddy's of the play type, so it would take sometime before he would be able to figure his son out.

I'm just toying about the idea of another mini book to create for Kaylen, and being at the age of 2 has its perks & moments, and looks like this would be up in my to-do list for the remaining month of May.

Would be busy for the whole weekend with preparation for Kaylen's 2nd birthday bash on Sunday, and the reveiling of our mobile car birthday gift on Sunday morning to him which we figured my entire morning till his nap time, we'll be crazily be driving around my mom's place, then off to prepare the home cooked birthday feast for the party at night. Hope to have loads of photos to show next week, and that Kaylen would have a good time. That's the most important.

Have a beautiful weekend you all, and thanks so much for your constant comments which for me means alot. It has always been such a pleasure to have the chance to make more & new friends through the world of scrapping. I can't imagine what life would be like without this hobby.

Just thankful...

Life is indeed short, and always i find myself bothered by things happening around me. Could be stuff happening in the world, or in our day to day stuff, and many a times, we just get so busy with our lives that we forget about the things we are blessed with, and with the possible fact that we take things or people for granted.

Not just today, but everyday, i must make additional effort to appreciate the people around me (be it at work or in my life). I just get on my life everyday knowing that i have things to do at work, and at home, and just get into doing them, but neglecting that my life shouldn't just be around doing stuff. I'm definitely blessed with lots of gifts in my life, and they are only there just this once in my life time.

So it's about time if you have not thought about it, but to start appreciating and it's alright to stop just doing stuff for the sake of it, and find the meaning behind it all. Be nice cause it's definitely worth the while, and even when Kaylen was just a baby, i find myself telling him at times of being grateful for the life he has now, for the family who loves him so dearly, and even with him now playing with his friends at times, i always repeated tell him to play nice, and let others have the toys first cause they are our guest. To me, this is so important in his upbringing cause i've been truly blessed all my life, and i appreciate all that i've been given, and for Kaylen the same applies.

To my dear family, my friends, a big thank you! Hugs...

It puts a smile on my face

whenever it's about my family, and having to be able to scrap of it, gives me the bestest feeling ever. Love the fact that our most recent May photo shoot taken by Yixi at grams place, and it's taken under a non stress environment, and that it doesn't matter that we're all looking tired after the end of the day, and that Kaylen is not exactly in the photo taking mood at that point. I happen to like the photo of the 3 of us, just the way it was taken. It's certainly been sometime since we ever had a family picture of us.

I like this because...

  • it's done especially for me by my beloved brother
  • he's trying to tell me something
  • it's nice, bright & cheery
  • it's all made from my scraps (even for the letterings, he used from my current used supplies)
  • it has Kaylen in it (he is too afraid to be using his own photo to be hinting me)
  • Kay's expression in the photo is so telling me something
  • he dared to be different (i gave him an earful for sticking stars on Kay's cheeks, although it makes him look magical
  • he has a reason each time he scraps (& this is his 3rd layout ever since)
Thanks Xi for the love!!! & these precious supplies of mine are definitely not junk. Period!

Oh bother...

I certainly hate it when what i was out to buy was actually either the last piece on the shelf, or totally out of stock. Went to Toy'R'Us today, and from what we decided to get for Kaylen which was the Little Tikes Grand Coupe, we ended up with another version instead....from this below to...

to this, Little Tikes Ride & Rescue Coupe (it even comes with a remote control for 7 different siren sounds)....guess to Kaylen when he receives it next Sunday at his birthday party, he wouldn't even bother much, just as long as it is like a car he can drive in all day, he would be happy. I'm just hoping that he likes what we've gotten him for his 2nd birthday.

There you have it, i'm done with the birthday present (awaiting for my brother to get it assembled at a secret place, and away from Kay's watchful eyes), next comes ordering his Mickey Mouse birthday cake on Monday.

It's going to be a great weekend

Nothing beats the fact that's it's Friday tomorrow, and weekend is just round the corner, and i'm just all geared up to the busiest weekend ever. It's playtime with Kaylen & his playmate - Valerie in the morning session at my dad's place, and that they will be having lunch together - wan tan noodles that my mom is specially making for the 2 of them, and afternoon a good shopping session at the local scrap shop - MWL with my pal KY & Val after play session for the kiddos, and evening time, we're going to a another old classmate of mine's new home, and there more lil ones to interact & play for Kay, and all around his age. I would have the chance to really catch up with my old friends, and meeting their lil ones for the very 1st time.

On Sunday, it's crop session with my sis in law, and loves it when i have company over cause both she & I are nuts about scrapping, and i now have 1 person to regular talk to about this hobby of mine, someone who will know what "trendy thursday" is about, and love to see her create. We're going to be having home cooked dinner tomorrow since we're going to be scrapping & sewing (yes working together with my bro on some sewing projects since i've got myself a Singer not too long ago). What best to spent my weekend with friends & family.

Thanks for the lovely comments you have been leaving me at my blog, and i treasure this alot, and although i'm not sure when i will ever have the chance to see you in person or pump into you at our LSS, it's always a pleasure stay in contact through this virtual world. (** hey annie aka brown box, do you have a blog, let me know if you have one cause i would very much love to be your blog fan).

Have a great weekend ahead!

Still feeling creative??

Guess many of you out there who scrap would feel at times that creative juices & the need to scrap, scrap, scrap is just getting stronger by the minute. I was at that point last night, and through till 3.30am, scrapping away in the silent of the night, and having the TV as my company. Was watching from CSI:Miami, to Bones, to some old show, then to Criminal Minds. I just kept scrapping, and finished some layouts for my pal J whose loves of her life are her 3 precious ones...I'm going to be seeing them, Kaylen's going to be seeing them at friend's new home gathering, and i just can't wait. Old friends when they gather, they have tons to take about. We've been friends for 10 years already..& still going strong. I love it when i break away from the scrapping of Kaylen once in awhile, and nothing beats scrapping for pals who's the world to me. Here they are, and i certainly hope J would like them. She's gotten a scrap album & some supplied from me this year for her birthday, and she's starting to put stuff together for her kids. So happy to see friends i know scrap (jayce says i'm a bad influence), and that i started to receive a specially hand made Mother's Day card from my other pal, KY, who's another great mom whose bitten by the scrap bug (yes, it's me again). Here's the 8x8 layouts:-

This is Calista her eldest, and she's just started
Primary 1 this year...

This is Ryan, her ball of energy lil guy, whose a great
kid, and Kay's likes to play with him
And J's latest addition to the family-
LIl chloe, isn't she cute!!
(love the headband J)

I'm having fun with just making stuff for my pals, and i hope too that it makes their day to receive this from me.

Have a happy Wednesday!!

Scrappy Weekend...

How was your weekend? I'm still recovering from being totally tired out with all the energy used playing with him. Our sofa at home somehow became a train to Kaylen, and us being passengers were asked to get on & off the "train". And as Kay makes the train sound, he would also make sounds of the train getting stuck. He would then get off, then pretend to look under the "train", and fix it, and proceeded to hoping on again. We had fun, and we were contemplating that we should get large carton boxes from our workplace, and make it into a train for him.

Weekends when we have Jayce at home with us are extra fun, cause he would always be the playmaster, coming up with new games, and this time I had jayce do crayon drawings of things kaylen likes, and through this helps Kay with learning, and had these drawings pasted on the cupboards for his everyday views.

Was feeling super creative, and i completed 2 1/2 layouts which 2 are for my pal KY of her lil princess Val. It's totally different creating for lil girls cause to be honest most of my scrap supplies are girl orientated more, and this is why Kay's LO's are mostly filled with flowers & pinks. So moving away from this for awhile, i did Kay's LO in yellow, and with October Afternoon's latest series - Cherry Hill/Ducks in a row.

Would love....

To have parts of our home looking like this (gotten these lovely pictures from Decorlogy http://www.flickr.com/photos/decorology/.... and we're thinking of having our living room sofa upholstery cause our total white sofa after 4 years does not look that "white" anymore, and with a lil guy around, it's hard to stay that shade. I love all things white at home, and i've been warned of the after effects once lil kids arrive into your life. Jayce always call our home - "yin wen's home", and like my pals would say, it's a total "yin wen" sort of house. Everything in it is me.

And i'm thinking of having my sofa changed from a total white to one with english vintage floral designs (not your old fasion english classic designs, but those with a touch of modern to it). When i travel to Europe for my business trips, i love to hit their home decoration stores, and when we did our home, i would be buying stuff like glasses, kitchen stuff(from strainer baskets to cheese boards & butter knife, tea towels, candle stands etc), and back home here, i would also be doing the same, and now i've a huge tall sliding cupboard filled with all these wares.

I hope to have some time to actually go about decorating more in our home like putting up picture frames, and now with an addition to our family, it's about time. I'm just inspired by these lovely homes...

Pretty, ain't it?

Just go with the flow

My mom was pleased this morning to have received among my other scrap gifts for her cause this time round, Kaylen handed it over to her personally, and before we got down from the car this morning to grandma's place, he made sure that i didn't forget to pass him the gift. He pointed at the altered chipboard (took it out of the pages of a Maya Rd album), and kept saying "ah ma, ah ma", and he carried the gift very well in his hands, and when he saw grandma, he quickly went up to her, calling her non stop, and even pointed to show her that her picture was on the chipboard. I just can't believe all these cause he has never done something like this before. I knew that he is starting to understand the things around him, the things we say to him. I'm just so proud of him, looking at my lil guy, all grown up.

Had fun creating this mother's day gift for her cause she says no more large frames please cause she doesn't have much space to have them displayed. So this year, it's a hanging altered chipboard in a nice compact size, and just this morning she was asking where should she hang this. Materials used mainly from K&Co (paper, chipboard letters, diecut flowers, diecut word),Webster's letterings, stickers from 7Gypsies, pin from making memories.

New series from October Afternoon just came into stocks at Made with Love, and being a big fan of OA, i guilty of hoarding some of their lovely, sweet paper, and had my hands on the packs of wild cards as well. I'm just 1 very happy gal at this moment, and looking forward to the weekend where i would live to get my hands working with these new arrivals.

Have a beautiful weekend ahead. I know i will cause it's loads of foodie in line, 1 teppanyaki dinner on sat, 1 mother's day dim sum breakfast on sunday morning, and eating again dinner at my dad's grill party. How's your weekend line up?

Wednesday, May 6

Thanks Mom & Grandma

To my mom, thank you for taking the energy to help me care for Kaylen and giving me that peace of mind when i work, knowing that Kay's always in good hands. You were there for Kaylen from day 1 when he was born, and helping me & showing me how to care for him when he was so little. You actually retired from work just to care for him, and these 2 years is definitely tiring, and you lost weight as a result. Nevertheless, Kaylen's the closet to you, and although he doesn't say it yet, i know he loves you lots and "ah ma" are his first words. Thanks Mom.

To my grandma, this fine lady whose watched & cared for me when i was little as mom had to be working, and you took really good care of the 3 of us. Now as we all grown up, you still made sure that we have homecooked meals for dinner every night, and although as age is catching up with you, you still have the energy to be going for window shopping at times, and gardening away. At dinner every night, you would always ask if i have my cup of chinese tea, you would always give me yours without fail. Thanks grams for the love, and i know just how precious Kaylen is to you, and everytime when you see him, you would always give him loads of kisses & hugs. I'm just truly glad that you are around with me, and have this chance to see Kaylen, and i'm wishing for you this mother's day a long & healthy life ahead with all of us.

Happy Mother's Day in advance, and i'm looking forward to our Dim Sum breakfast this Sunday!

Is it that difficult...

Pooi, if you are reading this, it's super hard to be dirty with my layouts. The cloest i got to the Maya mist was having it held in my hand (shook it already), but i just can't bring myself to getting the spray on the paper. Not because that the nozzle was jam (it was fine), just i can't bring myself to press on the nozzle. This is hard, you are a natural gal at using the mist & paints on your LO.

I've been always creating super clean layouts, no paints or spray mist or much inks, and i always envyed fellow scrappers who ventured into other mediums when they scrap, and there i am stuck. Like how Kaylen would say it now (he is starting to have a little more words for the past 2 weeks) - "oh no, it's stuck". Got to overcome this "i like my layout clean" mentality. How do you do it?

So here you have it, over the long weekend, my 2 super clean LO's, and lately i have a thing for white cardstock...

What is it like having a boy?

This question was constantly on my mind when i knew i was expecting a boy, and from the start before we even knew the gender of our baby, Jayce was very sure that we are going to have a boy. I was just excited that we were going to have a baby, and even though i always wanted a little girl, i was just mentally preparing myself should i have a boy instead. So when the news came that it's going to be lil guy, i was okay with it, but kept having questions popping up in my mind.

Stuff like how on earth am i going to comb a boy's hairstyle?? or what sort of games do little boy's play with (definitely no teddy bear's picnic or tea parties with the dollys), no dress up, no matching bags or shoes (i realise guys don't really bother), completely lost in thoughts as to how to deal with little boys.

When Kaylen was born, my first stay overnight in the hospital i clearly remembered when i gain consciousness was already 12 midnight, and holding him for the 2nd time was just such a moment for me. So small, so quiet he was laying in my arms, and the smell and touch of his hair. I couldn't believe it that he was my very own, someone special whom i've waited for 9 months was just there in my arms. Despite the uncomfort i was in trying to nurse him for the very 1st time & the fact that the anaesthetic was wearing of, all these were secondary when i had Kaylen in my arms. All doesn't matter, it was just all him.

Now if anyone were to ask me again on what gender would i wish for No.2, my answer would be - " as long as the baby is healthy, even if it's a boy again, i'm totally alright with it". Jayce knows how much i've changed my mindset of wanting a baby girl so much before we had Kaylen, and he knows very well that i'm totally in love with our lil guy, and doing all guy stuff is fine with me.

I just cannot believe that my 1st born, my most adored lil guy will be turning 2 very soon.

this is Kaylen in May...all grown up

Like how i tell him always - i love you precious!!
xoxo, mummy

A naughty corner in place...

We are in the right mind to have it implemented right as we speak, and the whole of this morning was truly frustrating having to deal with a lil dude whose refusing to do what he was told to. I got so mad, picked up Kay's picture cards & "threw" them into the dust bin (i actually hid it somewhere in the kitchen), went onto putting Kay on a chair, and told him to sit still & don't think about moving. As still as he sat on the chair, bawling his eyes out with mucus drooping down from his nose, i was try to talk sense into why he was punished. At this age of becoming 2, i know Kay's not exactly understanding what i say, and only knowing that i threw away his cards in the bin, and that's it. He knows I'm angry at him, and like always no matter how angry i can get, Kay knows i give in at times seeing the state he was in.

Both my & jayce proceeded onto the pretending to leave the house (with Kay still sitting on the chair), and closing the door behind us cause we told him since he is naughty, we're going to leave without him this morning. Once the door close behind us, we heard him cry and he was silent for awhile, and we thought he most likely came down from the chair. We then opened the door again to see, and there he was sitting quietly with his teary eyes still on the chair we left him on. I carried him up, and throughout he was very very silent. In the car ride, he was quiet too. There i was thinking if Kay knew that he was being punished because he isnt being good, and would he be sorry?? As it would take some time before he starts to talk, i would always be wondering what on earth he was thinking about, or how he is feeling at times such as these. Definitely not feeling too good cause he knows if he was unhappy, he would cry, and laugh when he feels happy. Simple as this cause for an almost 2 year old, it doesn't get any more complicated than that.

It's more of a mummy & daddy thingy as we were asking ourselves on whether should we start a naughty corner for Kay when he gets out of hand, and we think it's needed to have control over his bad behaviour at times although experts say that it is recommended to start when they are 3 years old cause it's where they are most likely understand. Gosh it does take all the energy out of me being angry at him, and like all mothers out there, how long can you stay angry with your lil ones. Never too long i believe.

Part & parcel of my mummyhood....totally filled with all sorts of emotions making it all the more exciting and challenging as I enter very soon in the life of a 2 year old. Goodbye to baby days....

Are you having a good Monday so far?

Saturday, May 2

This is Mummyhood

**a photo intensive post**

I find myself sometimes asking how i manage to survive through being a mummy. Did i do a good job at it? Only Kay would be able to tell me if i've done an okay job out of it. Wonder if i would to ask him, what would the answer be? For all i know till he starts talking to me, i'm doing my best in every way, and i believe that's what my mom did when she had us. I manage to survive the initial months of pure tiredness, nursing for ever 2 to 3 hours, changing as much diapers as it is required. All these are gone (okay i'm still tired at times but not because i don't get enough sleep) and given way to new challenges in mummyhood as i face now - an almost 2 year old. So today i've decided to just observe what Kaylen does on his own time at different times of the day & you'll know the amount of energy i need for just 1 day of looking after him.

After his morning's milk, he decided to have fun with my scrap flowers...
more it seems to be the basket that he was after...

On to transfering the flowers from one basket to another...
& several more times of this, and he can be going at it
for the next 10 to 15 mins...

He poured out the crayons & colour pencils, and disappears
for a while...(Sparky his lion was initially accompany kaylen
for his car rides everyday till last night, Kay wanted him at home
with him....haizz)

Guess where he went? He went to grab the basket which i already
stored the flowers away this morning. He wanted to have his coloured
pencils in this basket. You can just imagine that if the basket
was here looking empty, where are my bunch of flowers??

Basket is still there, and he is still colouring & dotting away...

Tired of colouring already, and on to pouring the coloured pencils
from one container to another...

Disappeared again, and look at the mess...& before he went away
he added the roller & picture cards to the coffee table...

Couldn't stand looking at the mess he made with the scrap flowers,
so i was just sitting on the floor sorting the flowers out
& out he came & made another mini mess next to me..
Grab other scrap bellies from the trolley
& throws it on the floor, and disappears..
Arghhhh

Found him in his room, sitting at the tightest possible spot
& reading "Millie the cat"...

Decided to come out of his room pushing his Ikea cart... & giving
Sparky a ride along with it

Went back into his room again, and this time to lay down..
(he was shuttering between the living room
& his bedroom, and it can be tiring)

He is one who cannot lay still...see the large pillow was initially
with him on the mattress, and now he is with it on the floor
in seconds..

There you have it (before i was able to sit down & blog, i was picking & packing the house again before in the next 3 hours time, it might very be in the same state or worst when the lil monster awakes). This is a typical day for me & Kaylen when we're home, and it's going to be more or less the same when he wakes up from his nap time later. And when daddy gets home in the eveing, another round of games or make believe. To keep up with him, i certainly need loads of energy, and brain power to keep him entertained, or invent little games, and when i need to rest for a while, Barney CD of songs would come in handy, or when i need to keep him out of the kitchen when i prepare his meals, it would be KungFu Panda.

Sometimes at the end of the whole day, after a good long relaxing bath, i would wind down by havng a quiet time scrapping away. Scrapping has became a big part of my life now, and i truly found a hobby which i'm passionate about, and one which allows me to use my creative juices.

Since it's going to be a long weekend, i've scrapped and hopefully would have 2 layouts at least when the weekend's over, and my 1st layout sits now awaiting for me to put on its finishing touches. Here's a peek at it's title....

May's a great month. Mother's day is round the corner and as i start on scrapping a gift for my mom cause she's been a great help for the past 2 years, and doing a really good job at looking after Kaylen for me as i work everyday, and i can't ask for anything more knowing everyday Kaylen is in good hands. I'm also working on a LO on motherhood, and how it has been for the last 2 years for me. Not only this for the month of May, but also creating some layouts of Kaylen when he is much younger as to me it's been a great journey watching him grow up, watching him go through his 1st years of being a baby, stages now of him developing & changing as he grows, and to me an amazing time to be at. 2 years ago in May this time, i'm only exactly 1 month away from my due date (Kay was suppose to arrive on June 2nd), and the emotions and feelings of being so close to welcoming my lil guy was of ups & downs. Of me having to prepare myself mentally for the birth which i was afraid of how it would go, and yet anticipating his birth, wondering how Kay would look...I love thinking back, and i know each year as i go into the month of May, not only is the birth month of Kaylen, but a very special month cause i became a mom for the very 1st time, and totally blessed with a little guy whose so special in his own little way.

Have a beautiful Saturday!!!
