Alright then, i'm going to enjoy what's left of my sunday!!!! Hope you have fun!!

A cold, wet & lazy Sunday....
And completed just 1 LO (it was sitting on the table for the past 2 days, cause i didn't want to rush into completing it so soon), and am loving the outcome of it all. When i started scrapping, always thought that i should be finishing the LO the very day i started. Now i come to realise that if i have it half completed, i would always go back to look at it and add bits here and there, and i enjoy this slow process. Sometime, before i sleep, i would think about the LO that i just done, and how i can add to it making it special, and personal and making it sort of "my style". So here it is, title - "Why this Face baby?"
As Sunday afternoon slowly slips by with rain pouring ever so heavy, it's just gloomy, but a look at Kaylen today (he was in a HAPPY mood cause looked right at the camera since a long time), I'm feeling nice & warm. It's good enough for me at least to see him all cheery up and yes, he knows what a cold & dull weather today is cause he got up from his morning nap, just wanting only to laze even more. Take a look at him...

He is now taking his afternoon nap , yes for a 15 mth old lil one, Kaylen is still taking naps twice a day and a total of at least 3 to 4 hrs, and still goes to bed on time by 9.30/10pm and sleeps through till 6plus7 in the morning. So once he is up later, we'll be heading down to Ikea for dinner and of course getting storage stuff for my ever growing scrap stuff. And guess would be starting on a new LO of my wedding pics, and yes i just dug up an unfinished mini album which was my 1st for Kaylen and only did a couple of pages, and so i thought that i should really finish it.
We'll be heading here....
We are so going here this year....
It will be Kaylen's 1st "official" lantern festival. Kaylen was only 4 mths old when it was the Mooncake festival last year, we held a mini gathering at my parents place, hung up loads of lanterns and had Tenpayaki outdoors. But this year at 15 mths, it would be fun for him to really experience the beautiful giant lanterns at the Chinese Gardens. Jayce says it's mummy's idea cause I'm such a "hello kitty" lover at my age (don't you just love this cat). Yes yes, i have my fair share of hello kitty collectibles when i was younger (i can remember the killer queues at Mac's for the Hello Kitty plush dolls, cause i was part of that queue..), and i went before when Chinese Gardens had their Hello Kitty Themed lantern festival and i loved the lanterns. So when we go next week (hope for good weather cause it's just raining crazy for the past week), Kaylen would like it. We are ready to dig into our festive boxes (yes, Jayce stores our home festive decorations into different labelled boxes and in one of them, it's 2 lanterns we got Kaylen last year). This year, we will not be going as a couple like how we would always be, but with our precious lil one...+ my brother & future Sis in law (Jianxi says she wants to go with Kaylen...Bro you should get the hint, cause they go every year without fail with their paper lanterns, can you imagine 2 adults???) + new additions - my good old parents. They never go much places with us especially for festival like this, but since it's kay's official 1st, they love to come along.
So we are very much looking forward to this!!!
Have a happy sunday!!

I'm up and awake
Can you believe this? I woke up at 3am in the morning and thought why don't i just scrap. Now it's 4.35am and i just completed my challenge LO for MWL - Aida's August Cover It challenge. Jayce was real sweet to keep me company while i scrap and for people like us who work alot would think that we are crazy to be up so early. At least my mom would think so cause she is always telling us to go to bed when Kaylen does to gain sleeping time. I always think that we never have enough time to do stuff we like. Time just passes by so quickly each day at work, and at home, so where do i ever have time to scrap? For me, even if it's 1/2 hr, or 45 mins, it's good time for scrapping, even if it means picking out photos for the next LO, or chosing the PP which would go with the photo, i need not be scrapping the whole time. It can just be as simple as looking through my stash to see what i have and not used.
So here's my take to MWL's challenge - "My Spring Angel"

My RAK is still open for takes and come round and leave me a comment!

RAK anyone?
It's been a long time since i organized my scrapping stuff, and no matter how i plan to pack and organise my ever growing stash, i can never ever ensure that i properly place them at places where i can easily see them. So there i was digging away and came to realise that I'm doing so much injustice to my supplies. I have this thing for owls, birds, trees, butterflies and by just packing my scrap supplies this afternoon, i can see that I'm just crazy over them...i have many supplies with birds (i'm waiting patiently for Hambly's new birdcage overlay) and butterflies so I though why not gather a RAK for someone out there...just leave me a comment on what you are crazy about at the moment, and i'll do my random pick this coming friday. Here is a snippet of the RAK (did some butterfly punch out with my latest butterfly punch from Carla Craft of my fave scraps).
Finally i finished putting on the final touches of a very special album for a very special lil girl out there. It's here 1st birthday next month...

I got myself one of this...
Finally it has arrived in Singapore, and i got myself one. For someone who is not very into high tech stuff, this is a big leap into getting such a device. All i needed was a handphone that takes pictures , sms and makes phone calls, it's good enough for me. But having a lil brother that is always having the latest gadgets, i was hooked onto iphone immediately. He got me all excited and so what the heck!
So i had my iphone delivered to the office today...
Just going to have fun figuring out how to use this baby of mine...have a great weekend ahead!

You know it's LOVE
What can be happier than for 2 people to be madly in love. For 2 people whom i know best, and love lots, i'm the happiest when they are going to spend the rest of their lives together and I'm talking about my kiddo brother and my future sis in law. They are getting hitched (ROM) at the end of this year and as we all prepare for the happiest occasion in our family. 2 different people from 2 different countries , they find their life together and a bright future ahead for both these young individuals. These are fun, young loving people whom i love alot and i cannot be happier to see them building their lives together and a family of their own to build as they walk together in their marriage. These lovely photos were taken by my brother in law who does a great job and he makes a very good photographer indeed www.windmillphotography.biz
So to Yixi & Jianxi, i'm wishing you guys all the best to your lives together, and i love you guys! Be happy!

Just busy scrapping away
Yes yes yes! It's back to scrapbooking for me as Kaylen is on the road to recovery from the dreadful flu, cough & fever which started beginning of this week. As the week comes to an end (oh how time flies), I should be resting despite the non existence of sleep for the last couple of days, and with Jayce still trying to get better from flu, and having to work on Sunday cause we are having a SALE, i do hope i'm not going to be the next one to be sick. Why I'm not resting cause I just can't resist scrapping since I have missed it for almost the whole week. So since Thursday, I have been catching up on my album project, then today, did a LO for Kaylen. Can't resist not doing one for my precious one cause there are still loads of photos awaiting for me. Was amazed that this time for the LO, did not use any flowered PP (jayce was surprised cause the first thing he said when he saw the unfinished LO was - hey no flowers, something different). I would say it's more of a "guy" LO this time round for Kaylen, loads of robots (love the BAMPOP pp!!!)
So here it is...titles "Life is good"

Kaylen will be at my parent's place tomorrow as I work, so it's a sunday without having to spent time with him, so made it up today at home, chiling out with him, and i must say as he grows up now, it's tougher to look after him cause he is everywhere at every moment he gets walking around (of course falling everwhere as he is now 1 month into walking)... and he never lets anyone carry him..big boy already. He will be 15 mths in 1+ weeks time...oh kaylen, so slow a lil for me, will you?
I'm going to have some supper now. See ya soon.

We are just glad to be home
Back home at last. Kaylen is already feeling loads better, he has his lil voice back at last and we are just relief that he is up everywhere like always. But, now it's jayce that is down with a very bad flu and he is quarantined away from us but hope he will feel better today. I'm worried each time Jayce gets sick cause he has allegies to certain medication. 1 wrong tablet, and his eyes would be all swollen and red, and worst of all, his allergies are towards pain killers, panadol and i'm not sure if there is any others, but it's enough to worry me. We are worried that Kaylen might also have his allergies, but thank goodness he doesn't. So there we were last night, searching through the medicine cabinet for flu tablets, and luckily I still had some from my last week's flu. I hope he will feel better today cause he would be taking chinese herbal remedy instead, safer also for him.
Alright, not a very long post today, but promise to be back soon with my completed album for a friend..so have a good weekend ahead!

How's your day?
It can either be super good, not good at all, or it's okay. Generally this is replies i get from people i ask, and mostly when anyone is to ask me, my answer would be okay, but without ever thinking much about how my day generally went. It's those "i don't have to think" answer. I'm actually very drained out by today cause Kay has been sick since Sunday night, and all the worrying and sleepless nights, it's taking a toll on both me and jayce. We are like zombies at work. Still have to get through the day. The day feels longer when you are tired, and it's only Thursday. But at least i know today, Kaylen is feeling slightly better. Fever has subsided, he sounds a little better and i can't ask for anything more than for him to feel better. My poor lil guy.
With my lil guy sick, haven't got much time to scrap at all this whole week, and with him sick, i thought of scrapping a LO with my heartfekt journalling for him during this period and once i get my time to work on it, will post it in my blog.
To Kaylen, get well soon lil one!

My lil guy is sick..
Everytime Kay falls ill, it is just so painful to see him go through it. This time, barely 2 months from the last time he had a virul fever, he is now down with fever, sore throat and flu. All these to a tiny lil body, i wonder how much he can take of it cause he has a very hoarse voice due to the throat infection, runny noise. Wished i was the one whose sick. I'm blaming myself for not taking good care of him, he could have caught it from me cause just last week, i was down with exactly the same thing and when i saw the symptons coming, i went to get the strongest dosage of medicine so that i would be well in no time. But who is to say that i'm all well cause i was still looking after Kaylen the night i was not feeling too well. He had a bad night last nite, crying away, not having a proper night's sleep due to the flu and his throat is still sore. With that much medication, how can he be feeling any better yet when it's only after day 1.
I hope he would feel better today, and the fever would just go away first and his throat will be better as well. Oh, i'm praying hard that when i get home tonight, my lil one is truly better.

What a day!
Yesterday was a great day, but tiring at the end cause of the clean up we had to do after the steamboat dinner but generally was a great family gathering. Weather turned from hot afternoon to this gloomy evening where the rain came at the late afternoon, making it ideal for our steamboat dinner. Kaylen enjoyed his bus & mrt ride and being a good lil boy. However, he did not get a very good night sleep though waking up several times crying away. So now, he is catching up his nap time next to me.
Have no plans on how to spend our evening, and so quickly it's monday again tomorrow. I always look forward to public holidays and weekends cause it means we have more time to spend with Kaylen, and with Jayce having to work on sundays, it is more previous time for both of them.
Manage to finish the earlier LO and it's my 1st try at stitching onto LO, and hey, it's not that hard after all. Thanks Chunling for that very valuable advise. Would be attempting more of stitching by hand in my future LO, cause i don't think i will get a sewing machine at the moment. So i'm leaving you guys of how my LO turned out looking.

Sneak pics of the soon to be finished album for this precious lil girl of my friend, who will turn 1 yr old next month.

Happy Birthday Singapore!!
Yup, it's our country's birthday today and to me a good day to spend with my most beloved family. We are taking Kay on his 1st bus & mrt ride (i would say his 1st cause the last time he took public transport was when he was 3 months old, so he was sleeping most of the time). And bus being one of his favourite vehicle cause he would smile or point at the bus when it goes by our window, we bet he would be so exicted that shortly he would be standing infront of the bus and awaiting to go on board. Then we have steamboat at my place with my extended family cause everyone is going to be at my place to celebrate national day and what better than to have steamboat, although i know the weahther now is not exactly steamboat eating weather. what the heck, it's the company that we will enjoy today as we celebrate our nation's birthday. Am glad that i managed to recover on time from a sore throat and slight flu, in time to eat and be merry.
On to scrapping grounds (haven't being able to complete my last LO due to not feeling too well the last 2 days), i'm leaving you guys with the LO title "How can i not miss this face" which i did in the beginning of the week.

Would most likely try to complete my pending LO (remember the one i mention in my last post that needs to be re-looked at?) since tomorrow is Sunday , and i get to work on my piece late into tonight. Love the quietness.
To all Singaporeans out there, have a blasting National Day today!!

Help, I'm out of creative juice
There I was at the wee hours of the morning, staring for the 1st time at my LO that i have no idea how to continue. Panick struck me cause i have yet to face such a time that i did not know how to work on my LO. I was fine the night before, simply happy about what i had scrapped and last nite, nothing happens. Just endless staring away at my LO and the photos i pasted, looking through tons of pattered paper, embellishments and stamps and what have i, and i cannot find anything that i want to use or even how to co-ordinate them all. Just simply clueless. I hope i don't stay in this state for too long. I just felt that my LO was bad, not like anything i have done so far.
Took a look at it this morning, showing Kay before we left home (cause the title is "Your Everyday", documenting Kay's everyday likes and what he does...and you know what he did immediately. He lay onto the LO and "sayang" it like how he did everytime he would see "pinky the dog" (my mom's neighbour's golden retriever whom he loves and has to see every day). So cool..and maybe my LO is not that terrible. Anyway, I'll let you guys be the judge of it once i make final touches to it (trying my 1st attempt at stitching onto the LO, as advised by a fellow scrapper that i should really be trying this). It's after her advise that i decided to give it a try. So once I'm done, will post the LO.
Have a good Wednesday evening.

Life is Good to Me
What more can i ask for. I have a great hubby who loves me lots, this cute charming little boy i call my own, healthy parents whom i thank very much for cause they do a great job at looking after Kaylen each and everyday and he is growing up so well all thanks to their care. This is why i can work at peace, not having to worry about my lil chump. Of course it doesn't stop here, i've got super duper brothers who are always looking out for me although i'm their big sister, good old uncles & aunties, and not to forget my very dear grandma who dotes on all of us. I come from a big family and we use to all live under one roof. Although we don't stay together now, we still see each other everyday for dinner. So, i'm thanking everyday that i have with them, with my folks whom till now even though we are all grown up, they still worry for us. I guess as parents, when will we ever stop worrying for our kids. My dad always says that the process of worrying never stops. He would worry if we are going to be born healthy and okay, then when we are growing up, he will worry about our studies, then on to whether if we will marry someone good, then when married, whether if we are happy.. .. you know the list goes on. I'm having my fair share of all these worries that I have Kaylen. I do my best not to be too much a 'worry wart" (my brother will call me), and let Kaylen have room to grow on his own. Anyway, to all my family - I LOVE YOU ALL!!! AND thanks for everything!
I have the entire weekend with Kaylen, and looking forward to the upcoming National Day, cause it would mean another weekend for me again with this lil one. He is just growing up soooo fast, wish time will stop awhile for me to enjoy every moment with him. He is now at the stage of walking around (it's been 3 weeks already that he started walking), and he is just touching everything. He wants to be everywhere as well. There is simply no stopping him. As usual, whipped out my camera and took these pics...just look at that adorable face.

Did some scrapping as well. Started on an album for my friend's lil girl whose turning 1 next month, and hope to have it done within 1 weeks time cause i usually scrap when Kaylen goes to bed till about 1plus so not exactly that much time each day to scrap.
