Truly....

It's not going to be easy, or never have been for me to travel for work ever since Kay came into my life, and even though i don't travel as much to be away from him, i know when the time comes for me to leave, it's me with a heavy heart. It's always the hardest for me when i have to travel, and for him, he's not going to like it either cause it's no mommy for bedtime, no mommy for company & no mommy for 1 week. I'm counting down to the time i have to travel which is the end of Sept, and going to places as beautiful as Italy & the tons of shopping(oh yes Gucci here i come) i will get done, and tons of ME time, i'm still going to miss him terribly, and i remembered when i left for 2 weeks 2 years ago to Italy & Portugal, i came home to a 14 month old lil one who started walking. Missed out on his very 1st walk on his own( i had to view it through a video Jayce had recorded for me to just see him take his 1st big step when i came back), and i still remembered clearly that even at that age, he doesn't know where on earth i disappeared too, but when he saw my face again, that lil smile & excitement of seeing me once again was the best ever as he walked towards me. I remembered being on the verge of tearing cause it's 2 whole weeks away from my baby & my handphone bill went up as high as close to 1K (yikes!!) just so that he knows mommy is still around somewhere.
We've decided that when i leave for Italy, he's not going to send me off at the airport cause we know for sure he's not going to like seeing me go in without him, and to see him cry is not going to do both of us any good.
I'm surely missing all his mood swings, his voice, his smell, his everything and telling myself that it's going to be a quick 1 week since i'm going to be at the fair for 3 whole days, the travel time in between & that i'm going to be able to shop at H&M for Kaylen and the company of my dear brother, yes time will just fly by and he is in good hands, so it's just me coping with missing my heart out for him.
See the grumpy face above, i'm already missing him already!!!

Right Now...

He wants:-
- to be part of our everyday conversation
- to know everything you are saying, and if he doesn't understand, he will surely ask " what happened mommy?"
- to sing his heart out, even though if he's terribly out of tune
- to wear my shoes everyday in the morning & for me to wear his, and says he is mommy
- to be "Kaylen the Stegasauraus" , and for me to be "Mommy Stegasaraus", and when he sees me back from work every evening, he greets me "hellow mommy stegasauras"
- to drink chocolate milk

I want:-
- to spend as much time as i can with him cause he's growing up just too quickly
- to create special memories for both of us to remember for the rest of our lives
- to have some alone time to just scrap myself silly
- to get my hands on this toy - the Canon Ixus 130 before leaving for Italy to take ME photos when i'm there. Given away my Sony Cybershot, so i can't wait for this to come...

Thanks goodness it's already Thursday!!

Right now on my scrap desk...

it's covered & littered with Cosmo Cricket latest series "Togetherness" papers, chipboards & stickers, and i just can't help to squeeze sometime last night putting aside the Maya Rd album for awhile to work on my latest LO. Here's it, and i love how cute the chipboards are.....

Tite: I love you to the moon & back

Truly a piece that perks me up!!!

Have a great Wednesday!

It's going to be one of those week....

where everything seems to be flying really quickly past you, and the sort that you would not have much time to stop and take a breather, Monday came & just whiz past me.

With a fantastic week ending for me last week by having super good news at work after a long 2 months of negotiation with the other party, we're finally going to be getting somewhere, and meeting 2 good scrapping pals - G & Pooi over at the LSS is definitely one of the best things where all we talk about is scrapping, and looking at each other's basket picks of the latest scrap supplies. I really miss these times. Ending last week with meeting up with my best friend Wen for good ol' Coca steamboat for lunch, shopping at the scrap store's again with her (i made her load up her basket hehe...) & ending up with very full bellies of beverages after beverages.

This week will definitely be a super quick one for me....going through work being busier as ever because of the new development of brands, my dear "assistant" is also on long leave till after 1st week of Sept, so there's just loads to do for the next couple of weeks. I'm mostly beat by the time i get home, and just cannot find the energy & brain power to think of what i want to be scrapping just yet even though i have unfinished project laying now on the desk. Here's what is waiting for me.....only 10% done....

Using latest Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness range of patterened paper & those to die for chipboard....putting it together for Kay's 3rd Birthday album (i'm so behind time, i've still to remake his 2nd birthday album cause it went missing at the LSS store when it's on display, so this is also waiting for me to start). Thanks G for the valuable advice on painting the scallop sides of the flag banner maya road chipboard album. I hope to get this album finished within a week's time.

& this lovely Alice in Wonderland fabric which Pooi gotten for me...totally adorable, and waiting for me to use it at my next fabric album, i'm going to attempt another fabric album soon, and it'll be my 2nd one after the 1st horrendous sewing episode. Looking at how well Pooi sewed on her bag project, i just hope i have 1/4 of her skill, i'll be satisfied. Thanks Pooi for this lovely gift which i hope to have time to work on it soon.

Enjoy your week you all!!!

Got to scrap more...

I keep telling myself this but i'm not getting anywhere near clearing any of my old scrap supplies, or catching up to my scrap to-do list (it's more like collecting dust that i'm doing). On the other hand, new CHA releases are already starting to arrive soon to our LSS, and i know for sure by seeing what's been launched recently in July at CHA, i've got a list (a long one i say) of stuff i want to get.

I either get too tired these days after work to think about how i want my LO to be, or i'm just plain lazy, only wanting to get home & spend time with the lil one. There will be times when i want to scrap but the mind is just blank....so when i was in the mood to scrap into the night, here's what i have created using latest My Mind Eye's Lost & Found diecut glittered cardstock (i love how the red glittered version one remind me of Christmas), and over G45's Alice in Wonderland papers for Halloween, and a spritz of Chalkboard Glimmer Mist in Mint Chocolate on the overlay & painting the dollies with Glimmer Glam in Mermaid. Worked with Kay's photo taken in June, and i love how even as he is growing taller, and how his baby fat cheeks are still visible at this point. Those cheeks....yums...

Title: Cheeks

I'm glad it's already Wednesday, and one more day to go before taking some time off to meet my good ol Wen for some girl time cause we've planned for this meet up since a month back, and coming up in September, I'm going to be having this private scrapbooking class for her Russian students, so it's definitely going to be fun.

Have a great Wednesday evening!!

Take this....

Kay wanted me to take a photo for him this morning....as please as i can get to take a photo of him (yes me wishful thinking), he actually want a photo of his foot....that's Kay for you, ever so cheeky....love how soft, small & cute his lil toes are...I wonder if i'm to scrap this photo, what's the title going to be??

A completed LO using Graphic 45's latest Halloween papers (Alice in Wonderland) & a mix of the latest My Mind Eye's Lost & Found papers & embellishments & a go at Tattered Angel's latest Chalkboard Glimmer Mist in banana pudding, and what suitable papers for Kay's trip to SAM, his 1st ever artsy experience....and to him magical place to be...

Title: "Wonderland at SAM"

Finished with Kay's teacher's day gift for Mrs Branson & Ms May...so sweet & so yin wen style.....

It's a nice cool Tuesday today and already looking forward to getting to the end of this week quick cause I've got an important meeting this Thursday, and I just want to get over it quick.

What's weekend without....

tons & tons of goofing around. I totally enjoy weekends, and dreading it when it reaches Sunday evenings.

This weekend had been all about play pretend that we're dinosaurs, it's been an entire last week of dinosaur craze at home, watching "walking with dinosaurs" over & over again (especially only 1 particular episode on herbivore type of dinosaurs that he likes), afterwhich i have to be "mummy stegasaraus" and that only cause we're not allowed to be "meat meat" dinosaurs, and off we go to drink from the pool of make believe water...hmmm that's what happens when you have a non stop 3 year old who i thought only love everything & anything about cars & trains till only about 1 week ago.....endless sounds of laughter from him and that's all i want to see.

We've played & played, painted with water colour (his 1st ever time at painting cause we think he's ready), laid down face to face and just laugh away at each other's face (it's those type of contagious laugther you get from Kay and you can't help but laugh as hard as he did), and make up silly songs of things around us (we both share our very own unique "air con" song together)....that's our weekend of 2 and truly loving it. Not to forget that I've finished scrapping simple monograms in Ikea frames for Kay's teacher's for Teacher's Day, and started on a new LO with Kay's photos at SAM at 8Q using latest My Mind Eye papers + Graphic 45's Halloween in Wonderland papers....hope to put on the finishing touches tonight...

It's off to meeting G in another 2 hours, and can't wait to see her face when i pass her the birthday gift...let's just say that it's a SWEEEETTTT gift....hope she'll like it.

Have a good week ahead you all, and thanks so much for your constant love at my blog.....Hugs!!!

It's beautiful....

knowing that he's growing up well, slowly adapting to the uncertain, prepping him that changes are not always bad as we walk through life with him. Knowing that he's unique in his very own way, working through challenges and dilemma on parenthood, and all the stories i will have for him to look back on.

This is Kay at 38 months, and i just can't believe it that once again we're into another one of those growing up phases, and always expecting surprises with this growth journey of his, and enjoying every minute of it.

Title: 38m

It's using up old supplies like Anna Griffin papers, some old hamblys overlay and adding just that little bit of new in the Hamblys rub ons of lace & grid like designs.
Next on my scrap list of to do - Teacher's Day pressie for Kaylen's teachers, how exciting (more to me being the one excited even if it's Kay's 1st ever Teacher's Day since he's been at Pre-School, and i remembered when i was still at Primary school, my dad would prepare for me stalks of purple orchids in plastic boxes as gifts for the Teachers Day, gosh so yester years).
Hoping to get the chance to pop over to the LSS today to pick up some new arrivals (eyeing at My Mind's Eye latest series of paper), but that's provided if i can just squeeze out sometime from my work today to just pop over. Will see...

I don't want forget....

how sweet it was during our bedtime last night. It was just different from all the everyday bedtime we share together, and for a lil guy who's growing up so quickly each day, and seeing so much changes in how he behaves, talks, and goes around living his life, i just want hold on to truly what we both share.

We laid together this time for bedtime (he sort of ditched his own bed to come lay down next to me in mine), no singing out loud like every other bedtime we have, just super quiet, both of us taking turns to yawn (cause it's already past his usual 9ish bedtime), his little hand holding tight to mine, pretending to close our eyes and look like we're asleep, stealing glances at each other trying to see who's asleep first, smiles when we see eye to eye cause we've caught each other peeking away......& in my head, i was just thinking what G said to me the other day which left a deep impression that this is my lil one, and if i don't believe in him as a parent, who will?

I love him for who he is, and as he goes through life now making sense of who's he is growing up to be, wanting the best for him in life, trying to have him listen when you know you'll be needing lots of patience in this, for me not wanting to give up despite how hard i can be feeling inside cause it might not be working out my way. Afterall, he's mine to have, to nurture, to love, to trust in.

He's sweet, concerned, helpful, funny and so full of love for things he likes....this is what i fail to see at times cause i'm too caught up with his mischief & energy to see his other side. Beneath this face of mischief, I've this sweet loving kid.

He gets me through my days feeling just how fortunate i am to just have him. Love ya!

Sweet G

Something I've made for her as a special gift to remember this precious relationship. She's made me tons of super sweet scrappy gifts, and like all my dear pals, their handmade gifts means more to me than anything, and i'm always reminded of their presence in my life, and how blessed i am with them.

Just a glimpse of all that sweetness suitable for a person like her.....all the October Afternoon papers, Prima flowers which adds to the softness of this gift, and not to forget tons of fluttering butterflies that i can get my hands on while making this.....

Can't wait to be catching up with her again this week, and giving her this gift. Hope she'll like it...and I can't wait to surprise her in the week leading to her birthday which is this month cause this gift is so personalised, she says she loves them....so i'm keeping this in suspense till i get closer to her birthday.
Have a super Tuesday!!
