Life around Him...

Never seem to be the same daily, and as if every day is an adventure on its own. Never ever boring, and some how, i find myself amaze by the things he say and do. Never easy with him, even when it's something as easy peasy like taking a bath, i find myself becoming "master of little tricks" to just get him to "co-operate".

Never did i say mommyhood is a piece of cake, cause he's proven me otherwise, and i hope this experience will make me stronger, and a better person cause i think he surely makes me do things i've never done before.

I love the life i have around him....many might think that i eat, breath & live everything about KAYLEN, but i so happen to just love this life where it's all about him....

Never have my life slowed down so much because of one single lil person, and it's slowed down enough to see many more things....

Something as simple him play pretend - him selling me ice creams after ice cream can be such a fun thing to him....

Look at just how serious this face can get when it's still after all fake ice cream....

For me, it's so much more the time i spent, the conversations we have, and the feeling of just the both of us. It's such a great feeling i get just being around him every day in some way....

So here's my latest LO, created by just how this photo of him makes my heart feel.....

Title: You Make my Heart Smile
Got my hands on some of K&Company's latest series of embellishment & stickers by Brenda Walton....so me.

Next on my scrap list of to do.....my Valentine's Day mini album for Kay which is already in the making, and hope to get it done soon....
Have a happy Tuesday!!

He

* has always been my pillar of strength, and comfort whenever i feel stressed up or moody
* cheers me up instantly with his questions & answers
* always gives me kisses at times when i least expect, and that feeling just blows me away
* says he will make me smile
* fights fiercely to what he thinks
* says "No" 99% of the time
* needs to be handled with care when it comes to his emotions. Totally 101% when it comes to emotions, and he changes almost instantly from a happy happy lil one, to a thunderous lil one
* tells me to be brave
* loves to have me tell him bedtime stories
* loves to tell me what he wants to dream about each night before bedtime
* is still my favourite bedtime buddy
* is after all only 3 years 8 months, and much time & patience is still needed to nature him, and show him that nothing is too difficult to handle
* "draws" me letters, and we play "send each other letters" games where we seal our letters with our kisses, and to opening each other's letters with shouts of excitement, and saying how much we love the letter.....wahahahah...He enjoys this so much that we've "written" each at least 8 to 10 lil notes each time when we play this game....
* totally loves singing......even to the fact that he records his singing in daddy's handphone....already a shinning singing lil star in our hearts
* has gone through some of mommy's worst tempers, and i feel so bad that he has to go through them , bless that lil heart of his, the tears that couldn't stop rolling down that lil face of his, the sight just broke my heart. He would come up to me, and say "mummy i will be good, i love you", so how long can i ever stay angry. It's something I'm working on, and how much i expect out of this lil guy sometimes, it's hard.

He is definitely ever so precious to me, my life's best, and someone i love so very very much.

Have a good Monday!!!

Coming home....

Never better when i come home after being away over the weekend in Malaysia to a sleepy eyed lil guy who just wakes up in time, stares at you for the longest time before giving you a smile, and walking towards you and from that look, you know that he had missed you, and is glad that you're back.

Just stepped through the door, and having to just give him a squeeze, and that sniff of his hair was all i need to just stop feeling tired. I just needed this so badly. Even being away for 2 1/2 days, worrying whether he was ok (he fell ill again with a bad cough & throat, and topping that off with flu when i left + feverish), so being away from him, it's hard not to worry.

It's also coming back to a better week i hope cause last week was totally busy busy with everything out of place, and emotional side, it's also feeling more down than anything. Let's just say last week wasn't that great a week since it started with someone we know & have been like family passing away due to a hit and run accident on his way to church (he didn't even had a chance or even knew what hit him, died instantly). Our family haven't seen him for at least 5 years, and having to hear of his passing, it's totally the worst for my father. With my parents away beginning of last week, i was given the stay home mom job of taking care of the lil guy, and not totally thrilled that even if the additional time with Kay, it's at the expense of someone's else death.

So i'm just hoping that i'm coming home to a brand new week.....filled with tons of work to complete since I've been out of the office almost 3/4 of last week, and so much more rushing that we have to do at work with the needed planning. I seriously need to catch up.

I came home too to this long awaited package.....when i stepped into office this morning...there it is....WASHI TAPE....i'm crazy about these tapes, and this adds to my current collection (did i just say collection??? I'm suppose to be using them, and not collecting them). I just love them.

Can't wait to play with them....you'll surely be seeing more of these tapes in my upcoming work....

It's been a long time since i worked on handmade scrap gifts (i'm so putting this down in my 2011 scrap area to work on), so this recent piece which i've done for a pal of mine who's birthday is in the next 2 days. Hope she will like it.....Happy Birthday J in advance!!

& not to forget with the 1st month of the year already past it's middle mark, I still worked on my wishes for Kaylen for 2011 in a LO, and see my very 1st LO of the year, and using washi tape to mat my photo....

Having to go through 96 cut out of the word "birthday", 144 punched out mini dictionary flowers, 96 punched out flowers, 24 strips of fabric, 24 cut out clocks & horses, 24 cut out journal bracket & half a bottle of Beacon, I'm glad that it's all finished since 2am this morning.....

Won't be able to join the group of lovely ladies in this time's super swap which is happening this evening, just wanted to wish each of you happy scrapping away, as i await to have a piece of each of your creation. How exciting, and I'm sure like my 1st ever swap, these are all very precious pieces worked on by each individual with a hint of their very own scrap style.

Here a glimpse of mine......

Have fun you all!!

Hello 2011

I can't believe it that I spent the 1st day of 2011 falling sick (all shivering and coming down with fever, a nasty sore throat since we had a BBQ on New Year's Eve, and having to trouble my dear hubs to go to the store at 2 in the morning to get me panadol). So no counting down, no fun plans on New Year's Day, and to my dear hubby it's no going out till i get well....drats!!). But this is good enough for me cause i have Jayce and Kaylen with me on New Year's Day, so what more can i ask for.

So what's in store for us this New Year other than planning to ensure that i've plenty of time with this little one as he grows so much each day. So much that it scares me sometimes when i just look at him. Conversations are no longer like before, distractions don't seem to work so well now, i have to think lots more when we talk, he literally mimics each and everyone of us, he says NO almost 95% of the time and i seem to be pulling more junks of my hair as i forecasted for this year than last. So this growing up thingy does give me a headache at times, and i know i need to have loads of patience and sensitivity when it comes to dealing with his emotions. No doubt that admidst all these frustrations i get with him and myself, i've never been happier being a mom and i truly feels that he's made me a better person especially when it comes to patience.

See this face....how can i ever resist not planting a million kisses on those cheeks....i'm so glad he's mine..

I'm sure this new year will bring us new challenges in life, and at work, but no matter how i'm just glad and looking forward to telling more of our stories as we go along the months. He's going to start his Mandarin Speech & Drama this weekend....so that's going to be a whole lot of story when Saturday comes cause he's telling me last night that he doesn't want CHINESE!!! We'll see.

I'm planning to celebrate Valentine's Day this year (haven't done this ever since we became a unit of 3, ok let's just say that even when it's only 2 of us, we've never gone anywhere or celebrated Valentine's Day), so this year, i thought we'll do something for a change for this day & definitely a mini for my dear lil guy for sure which I'm going to be using Making Memories latest range - Je t'Adore. Got to love this range, it's so me!!

He's going to be 4 in May (it's like didn't we just have a party by the park not too long ago???) so that's going to be some fun in planning this 4th Birthday Bash of his.

So here we come 2011.....we're going to love every bit of this year!

Have a good year everyone!!

Finishing up.....

In another 2 more days before we say goodbye to 2010, and I'm trying to finish up as much as i can here in the office & back at home when it comes to scrap projects, I do my best since free time is not exactly what i have lately since Kay has been down with up & down fever pattern, vomitting, and totally not in any good mood. We call this the post party syndrome since it's all the late nights & party food....Gosh it hurts to see him like this, and I'm praying hard that he will get better all before New Year's Eve (we're having another party but this time this lil guy is grounded to early bed time for sure by grams!!!, which means no counting down for me & jayce this year)

So here's what I've been finishing up since.....

Remember my 2010 journal, I'm almost done, just filling in the journalling part, I'm done recording all the eventful memories for our family to look back on....it's been quite a year for us, and definitely one which i'll love to remember. I've been keeping all the tickets to places we visited throughout of this year, so made some envelopes & pockets to be storing these memorabilia...some sneaks of some of the earlier month pages.....

I manage to save another piece of both my & kay's handprint from the same drawing block down with Crayola washable paint(you got to love this product!!!), and put this in our November month.

& for December which behind the Merry Christmas tag, i made it into a pocket for me to place my Christmas wish for our family for the new year.

& working my way to half the lot of pieces from my next upcoming Friendship Swap......it's got to be the longest time i needed to complete.....i really hope i will get to finish them by the end of this month given whatever energy i have left since I've not slept much for the past 2 nights, so i'm hoping that Kay would be much better asleep tonight for me to sneak some time awake to complete them.....but here's a glimpse of my swap pieces....

& as the year comes to the end, this got to be my last LO of the year, and i choose to work on photo of Kay & my dearest car - Swift since taking them in Oct, but truly not having time to work on them till now.....It's been a month since Swift's left us, and till today Kay still asks for him, and there are times that it's hard for me to explain why he's not ever going to be coming back (cause he still thinks our lil car is on holiday in India wahahahah....and that he's really going to be back), so it breaks my heart to tell him what it means to sell the car away....& he gets teary and very upset, and INSIST that he wants the car back with us......So this got to get into Kay's 2010 album of layouts for sure....

Title: Pals
(i love those 7Gypsie's metal embellishment)
Journaling reads:-
Both of you share such a wonderful relationship
How much i see you adore him
& how much i know you miss him when he's gone
You'll always remember Swift Swift,
& have happy memories to remember him by

I foresee myself not being able to work on my Christmas mini yet till day after tomorrow, not being able to spring clean my scrap desk till Kay feels better, and i know if i'm going to list my list of half finished scrap projects, it's going to be endless....what's important is that nothing major is going to happen if it doesn't get completed, my stories of our lives still gets captured in my very own special way.....
Thank you so much for always coming by my blog, i truly appreciate & love your presence here. This year has been good to me & my family, and for the brand new year, i know we'll have our own little stories for me to record & tell, so till then....have a Happy New Year ahead!!!!
Love ya!!

All in Christmas....

What a Christmas we had this year!! It's the most busiest time for us all here, and all for just that 1 night of feasting, giving & spending loads of time merry making. It's also once a year on Christmas Eve that Kay has his bedtime extended, and this year he made it to bed past 12.30am......

Here's all that festive things we always get ourselves into...and you should just see the family after that....all tired out like zombies....eating X'mas meals continuously on Christmas Day, & Boxing Day....and i'm not surprised if tonight's dinner is yet another X'mas meal at grams place......

All for the sake of just hanging out more then usual with the people we love......

On Christmas Eve....
*Kay posing with Uncle Yixi's roasted"BEER BUTT" chicken.....which are all looking & smelling yummy....

* Kay getting ready for a lil Santa's helper's look.....the hat only stayed on for 1 mere second before flying off his head......

*Kay at the X'mas Party at my Grams place.....already unwrapping......& looking all so sweaty cause to him it seems like a task.....& the bags of opened presents we have to fit into the car boot (all his mind you) when we left

On Christmas Day morning in his PJs....
*More X'mas pressies to unwrap at home....yippeee

* & yes "Yippeee" to us parents as we have to sort & organise.....wrappers everywhere & opened boxes needing our attention.....portion of his X'mas gifts....thanks everyone...

* him playing away with his new toys......with grandpa's plumbing pipes we call them.....

& look who's joining him.....i say really hard to resist.....daddy's built him a binoculars out of the pipes.....

I love Christmas for the very reason that I have my loved ones to spend it with, and for Kay to know that this tradition of us families from all sides to get together, and how blessed he is to have everyone loves him so much. We are loved, and we are thankful for them.
Have a pleasant Monday!!!
