I just received today news that Pahang my sponsored child in Philipines under World Vision after 7 years, her family & herself has left the community, and I would not be required to care for her any longer. I still remembered when I've gotten her, she was only 4, and today she's already 11 years old. Has it been that long already? Felt sad when i read the letter, but happy to know that she's doing alright, and her family had done well to be able to move out from the community, and getting better employment somewhere else. She'll be always in my thoughts, and well wishes to her future.
In return, I was allocated with another child - Vone, a sweet little 7 year old girl from Laos (Xieng Nguen Area), and from today onwards she's going to be under my sponsorship. I'm sending her a small package with little stickers that girls would love, so hopefully she would be in smiles when she gets them.
So really, i'm happy that my sponsorship has helped one such little lady, and now i'm getting the opportunity to carry on helping another little girl. Yes to me, they are like my own little girls.
Have a great Tuesday!

Never ending....
Totally agreeing with you all, and dump that "to do list" or better still forget that it ever existed. Whether be it that i have this list or not, i would always know at the back of my mind what's needed to be done or what's not completed. I'm the sort that can't do without a diary, and my work schedule is neatly scheduled out, and the to do list at work is obviously never ending. I like things to be organised, and like my home, i would say that it's 70% neatly packed up, and the remaining 30% comes from either Kaylen's room, or our laundry room (aka it used to be the guest bedroom, and now it has become wardrobe storing my scrap supplies which i don't use often, the single sofa is also in that room, and now the bed has become space for our laundry awaiting for it to be folded.
Enough about how much i manage to get complete with my to-do list over the weekend, and i'm just glad that just this weekend, I ended with lots of fun playing time with Kaylen, worked a little on the mini album (1 1/2 pages to be exact), completed 1 layout, and i'm happy with the state of my home as at Sunday afternoon (so you can imagine what's it like this morning, and the start of a new week).
Here's the layout....

Will i be scrappy again ?...
There are just so many things i want to be doing, when all i did was just asking myself a simple question - what do i want to do over this weekend? It came to the following list:-
- definitely be home enjoying the world of 2 with Kaylen (yippeeee!! and it would help that with the slight runny nose he is getting this morning, home would be the best place to be, looks like Sentosa beach would be on hold till he gets better). I've gotten Kay Playdo cause he hates getting his hands dirty (he is a very particular little one who likes every thing clean), so this is my chance to get his hands real dirty for a chance.
- an uncompleted mini album "kaylen at 2" sitting in a basket which i always cater for current on-hand projects with all the co-ordinated embellishement picked out prior so that i don't have to scout around looking for supplies when i need them
- an uncompleted LO of Kaylen taken the last time in May when he was at the Botanical Gardens (oh loads of photos still awaiting for me to scrap with), my mojo just went off, and still not back yet.
- a scrap area which requires immediate attention to sort through, everything is everywhere (you know what i mean)
- wanting to put together a RAK giveaway, and it's going to be round the corner
- a baking session with my brother & sis in law, and the whole baking experienced kicked of last night, and ended with very yummy raisin muffins, and 2 mini loafs of solid hard bread which only Kaylen seems to be liking, and we've gotten him watch the baking process, and yes he hated it when i gotten him to meddle and try to mix the dough. Instead, he rubbed his hands all over my sleeves to have them cleaned, and says NO NO
- have been wanting to start a mini album on friendship for all my close buddies, and this is still on the drawing board till i sort out the journalling portion (yes, i've got lots to say)
- my home needs to be cleaned & packed, and laundry to be done & folded, and this falls between having to ensure that Kay does not get in the way of things
My list just goes on, and i'm wondering if i would be able to even get close to completing them. At least i know, i would be enjoying the weekend with Kay for sure even if i don't get a chance to working on my to-do list.
Have a great weekend you all!!!

I see him...
- smiling lots more than yesterday
- feeling less sluggish
- that the fever which was hanging around since tuesday morning did not return
- lesser sounds of coughing, although his voice was slightly hoarse
- running around more today
I know this evening when i see him again, he would look & feel much better, and tonight we would all be able to sleep much better as well. Yes, once again, we're very soon be having kaylen back to his healthy self, the usual look i always get whenever i look at him
Like this which was taken 2 weeks back at his

Something as precious as this....
I love handmade, and i love the fact that it's so my sort of style, and what's best that i can have 2 very precious names of my 2 boys jayce & kaylen handstamped onto each of the sliver charm, and it will arrive in about 3 weeks time in my mail box. Can't wait to have this arrive sooner...but good stuff are always worth waiting for.
At The Vintage Pearl http://thevintagepearl.etsy.com, they've got loads of lovely orginal design made by hand be it necklaces or bracelets, and i wish i could get them all.
Hope your Tuesday had been beautiful!

I expected that...
- he was not going to be listening to me much
- he was not going to be sitting still
- he was going to giggle when he hears the teachers or me speak Mandarin
- he was going to be everywhere in the classroom
- he was going to enjoy himself during the 1 1/2 hour
- i was going to be so dead tired after the session
and yes i've guessed it all right (except no giggling when the Teacher Liu spoke to him in Mandarin, surprise, surprise!!), and so true after Kaylen's 1st GUG session at United Square. I was completely beat, and even more tired since i had to go work after his class, and that night, we were in bed at 9plus.
And now, this cute little art work is sitting in my office, and can't believe it that this is Kaylen's 1st officially artpiece done (of course with mummy's help with the glue). It was only less than 10 mins, but having him to literally sit still, and at the table doing this meant alot, and afterwhich he started to show his medical box to grams, to uncle Yixi, aunt jianxi, and the last person he showed it to was daddy. You should just see the look on Jayce's face, so proud of the work, and we're deciding to find a proper place to keep all these pieces, and for now this 1st piece will be in my office till the 2nd, 3rd, and many others to come before storing them away for keepsakes, and definitely great scrapbooking materials.Kay needs time to adjust to such environment, and what's important is that he has fun at such classes, and the interaction he gets with kiddos of his age (he has his friend - Phoebe for every class, and both of them started together, and i'm glad that i get to see Pam too cause we're the sort that would meet once every few months to catch up, and the fact that both our lil ones are of the same age - Phoebe is just 3 days older than Kay, makes this whole catching up more interesting cause we've just widen the topics to kids). He learns cause when we got home, we went through some of the words (and in Mandarin too), and now daily we just go through with him the Zoophonics that they sing in classes (you can imagine me & jayce singing terribly away & the actions) to help him familiarise, and at grams, she tries to speak some Mandarin too.
I had fun too with him, and although very draining to my energy (you should see me eat after the session), i'm enjoying this.
Over the weekend, had time to scrap alittle, and this was done for Father's Day for Jayce...

Not very far behind....
He has :-
* been awaiting patiently for your arrival into this world
* been by my side during the entire labour, watching your birth, and totally lost of words when you finally arrived
* been a man of few words, but deep down you know just how much he loves you
* been working very hard to make sure that you have the best in life
* been your everyday play mate ever since you started to discover PLAY
Kaylen, daddy has been there always for us no matter how little of time he seems to have with us. He might not tell you as much what you mean to him, but for sure you know he would do anything for you. To him, you're his light, his pride & joy, and you don't know just how proud he is of you today.
I can't find anyone as suitable as you to be Kay's daddy, and we love you!!
Happy Father's Day Jayce. Your 2nd Father's Day!
Have a beautiful Friday, and wishing all daddys out there in advance - A very Happy Father's Day!!
