Friends are always good for the soul.....

No doubt each time whenever I get the meet my close friends, it always does wonders to my heart, and naturally makes me so happy. Be it seeing familar faces, or spending that precious amount of time, it always makes me feel blessed to just have my dear friends. It does look like I really have to have time with my friends other then my beloved family, and my dearest little guy.

Just last weekend, I've spent great time G after months of last seeing her.....and this time I had the chance to bring Kay with me......I must tell you just how much Kay adores her to the extent that he wants to go home with G...LOL...G's really very good with him.

Here's us in the car on our way to meet G at Raffles City......for lunch & a visit to the LSS....

All that fun at lunch....and a catch up for us at Watami.....

& thanks Aunt G for this uber cute durian suitcase which is his 3rd in his collection. He has already gotten the apple & watermelon suitcase from his previous visit to the LSS.......He proclaims that this is now his "work" bag.

And with all that good time with G, she's also gotten me my very 1st SMASH journal. Thanks dear. Am surely going to start SMASHING within it, although I've been thinking about what I would like to journal about (since my Project Life records our everyday, and I still love Project Life for the very reason why i started, and I wanted to keep my SMASH journal to record other stuff)......definitely about the one true love in my life, my dear little guy - Kaylen!! Still has yet to iron out what about Kay should go into my SMASH journal, and how to decorate my cover page.....

& how can i not get the other SMASH products to go along..............seriously smashed a big hole in my wallet for sure!! Love SMASH so much that I grabbed some of the SMASH items and the SMASH theme baby journal for my close pal, Wendy who is embarking on her journey to motherhood.....how exciting!!!

My last weekend's been great even though I had only 1 weekend day with Kay as I needed to work through my last Saturday, but it still feels great to still spend that day with him and G.

Looking forward to more of my time spent with my friends soon.....seriously need to get down to allocating my time to spend time with them soon.

RAK Giveaway.....

It's about time my scrap area needs a tidy....and as well as the rest of my house since we can't seem to keep up with tidying up, cleaning up the house. We've decided after the longest time to engage cleaning professionals to come take care of this since Jayce is already working 7 days a week, and really I've a superb hubby that takes care of the house stuff to the best he can, and i too have no further energy at the end of each day to do housework like cleaning the window and grills, dusting, mopping, disinfecting etc, so we're leaving that in the hands of the experts.

So now i have to just take charge of my scrap area. So while the cleaning lady is cleaning away, there I was clearing up my scrap desk. Even my Project Life basket of supplies is getting out of hand, and calling out for attention to be packed, and the overflowing of washi tapes from the basket (decided to go through the washi tape, and select which ones i wanted to use for my Project Life, but it also seems after the sorting to still look as much...lol)

Here's my space before packing .......

It's also very very quiet around the house since it's only me and the cleaning lady (other then the vacumming), and Kay was off for his morning Chinese lessons, it's going to be pretty much a leisure Saturday morning from now on for me (even though I had no choice to just be away from Kay that couple of hours), but at least we now have a much dust free home which Kay needs badly cause he has super sensitive nose, skin and lungs since young. So before having to go to work in the afternoon, I spent just a short half an hour after clearing up the desk to continue further into my Week 8 of Project Life.....hope to complete Week 8 by Sunday.....Here's just one part....I happen to fall in love with chevron design stuff.....even toying with the idea to get chervon paper gift bags from the Etsy store for Kay's upcoming 5th Birthday goodie bag....

And as promised....A much needed RAK Giveaway....it's been ages since my last RAK, so a mix of brands....some spools of ribbons, washi tapes, pearls and blings!! So leave me a comment by Wednesday, and I'm annouce the winner on Thursday, 29th March.

Have a great Saturday you all while I look forward to going home to see my lil guy, and looking forward to Sunday where I get to spend more time with Kay, as well as meeting up my dear dear pal G for a shopping trip at the LSS!!

Onward march with Project Life....

Enjoying the ride on the Project Life wagon, and never looked back, and never pondered upon the fact from the very 1st when i started out that i might give up due to time. I'm so glad to embark on this journey, and this has enabled me to journal so much more then the past, and i love having to have my feelings documented out. I always think it's hard to pen down my thoughts, and that's why i didn't even tried to in the past when I scrap, but since starting with Project Life, it has become loads easier.

I've been progressing well in the last 2 weeks, and it seems to get easier as the weeks go by cause the creative juices just flows (thankfully no blocked up minds) and so far this week, I'm already starting on Week 8.

Here are my earlier weeks of 5, 6 & 7.....

Week 5.......

Week 6......

Week 7.....it did get a little tougher to work on the end of this week cause just looking at the photos of Kay been so ill, it was just so heart breaking.....my baby having to suffer.....

I get my inspiration for Project Life from so many other Project Lifers like Leena, Irene, Dorcas & Merdrey....i love love their style......

Hope to get further into my week 8 tonight cause the last few nights I didn't get the energy to progress as much as i would love to....so hopefully work on some stuff tonight....

Have a beautiful Wednesday!!

The last week.....

Had been the best week for me since it's the school holiday week.....even though it's not packed daily with activities as much as I would love to, but at least we get a couple of days to just spent it with him and I've just had a long weekend where it's only the both of us.....yipee!!

Here's what we have been up to last week.....

Visit to the Cybertron Convention at Resort World Sentosa....and as you can see that look on his face, he really doesn't like to be there.....I've got a little guy who likes Transformer, but at the same time terrified....hmmmm

Instead a trip to the candy store is what he likes, especially the trolleys they have that he pushes around the whole store......weee heeee....

A trip to Marks & Spencer, and how much he just loved the Easter Eggs......

Some simple fun time at home with him.....

New toy from Grandpa.....

Easter cupcake baking classes at Bonheur Patisserie at Duxton Road.....cute lil store and very nice people.....

Some more fun at home with my washi tapes again.......i'm just amazed how much he enjoys these tapes.....rolling them around the floor can sent him giggling.....geezzzz.....

For those with lil ones, i believe you had as much fun as i did spending the time with them during the last one week.......

Hope to be back soon with more updates on my Project Life!!!

My Week in a Nutshell.....

This past week seems to go rather slow....and with half the weekend spent at work, it only means I've go to grab whatever time I've left with Kaylen to the max. The school holidays start officially today, and yet we've not really planned out this March hoildays for him cause since we're going to be spending his birthday this year when it comes in May in Hong Kong, and definitely spending his actual birthday at Disneyland. We haven't told Kay about this plan, and also not intending to tell him anything till the times come for us to pack up the luggage, it's going to be a surprise. So this upcoming school holiday week we have planned so far a visit to Cybertron Convention at Resort World, and a mommy & son baking session over at Bonheur Patissere - we're going to be attempting Easter Cupcake classes......Fun!!

So back to our past week stories.....

Our bean experiment which started a week ago today......Kay insisted that his beans are magic ones, and very special unlike mommy's beans......my sprouts just didn't grow as fast as his.....and since then every day when we got home, 1st thing 1st is to have a look at his magic beans.....& a shout from afar - WOOH!!!

His new storybooks came this week......certainly something which i look forward to cause I can be reading the same stories night after night.......

My surprise packages from Etsy shop came for me too.......3 packages in just 1 week.......yipee!!!

Fabric tapes.......

Twines......

& never enough of washi tapes.......

& wrapping up for me this weekend would be to complete what i have started early this week.....Week 5 of Project Life.....

Another half an hour more to the official start of my weekends, and time spent with the lil guy!!

Have a great weekend you all!!

Week 1 to Week 4 of Project Life

Finally completed the 1st 4 weeks of Project Life, and I'm still here. What thought to be the longest time needing to complete just got easier as I progress with the weekly documenting and taking of photos, taking down notes of what happened on specific days (I've kept a notebook with me all the time to just take down, as well as downloading an Iphone App - Project 365 to help me with the photos i take on a daily basis). It does get loads easier since I've put aside my mindset of EMBELLISH, and constant reminder that it's not a LO that I'm working on.

I'm inspired by so many of the fellow scrappers who had embarked on this same journey, and love viewing their Project Life. I'm glad I started. I know how everyone is using 2 page spread for their per week of Project Life, but for me, certain weeks are simply impossible to squeeze that many stories & photos, therefore you will find that my weeks 3 and 4 where we had the Chinese New Year festive season, and our holiday to Bali, it took up several more pages.

Week 1.....only 1 page to show since I did not get to take too many photos within the week

Week 2 - yet another 1 page

Week 3 - where all the fun begins.....3 pages filled

Week 4 - the most happening week ever, and all that packed in just 1 week

I've crossed this first 4 weeks, and can't wait to be starting for another ride with February.....slower than many other Project Lifers but this is me enjoying this journey at my own speed.

Till then, have a Happy Wednesday!!

Today...

It's going to a week since Kay's terrible terrible "fall very sick" episode, and we have moved on to much better days where we have enough sleep, able to sleep in peace without being disrupted, and even though me and Jayce is down slightly with some throat discomfort, we are far better.

We managed to get out of the house....Kaylen having the energy to go on his bike rides downstairs in the garden.....this is so much better, and I believe he feels a whole lot better now as well even though he still has to be on his anti-biotics, as well as nursing a very bad bout of flu and coughs.

Just see that expression cause he's back on his feet.....priceless.....

After his bike ride, all sweaty.....and he needs a haircut soon, playing with his new toys - Gong Gong promises new toys once he gets well - a army helicopter and a tank....& a set of tiny soldiers....

& since this had been a working weekend for me, I hadn't much time to work on my Project Life. So this morning when Kay was downstairs with Jayce for his bike ride, I sneaked in some Project Life fun!! I'm at week 4 already - the Chinese New Year week I call it.....

I'm definitely slower then other Project Lifers as some are really very prompt on creating their weeks. I'm fine with my speed, and have no intention to speed it up because i want to enjoy this process. I had my doubts before and constant thinking if i'm going to give up due to the time i have on my hand to work on this cause it means my daily commitement to document my everyday life whether if it's totally simple things we do as a family, or about Kay, and I must say week 1 was truly a struggle cause i kept on thinking i need to embellish, that it's too simple or plain....i need more pretty stuff....lol

I bought the Clementine Core Kit along with the wide variety of choices of its page protectors from our local scrap store - Scraplicious, and when the time i bought it, the core kit was totally out of stock, so while waiting, I started with the page protectors , and my own supplies as well as the Clementine 12"x12" cardstock papers as well. It's coming together slowly, and this is the very 1st time where i truly journalled down my thoughts, the daily life happenings all in my very own handwriting. Something which I often use cause i never thought my writing looks nice enough to be on my scrap pages...hehehe...but wanting to have a piece of me in my Project Life, I've learn to look past my handwriting, and just enjoy recording our lifes through this fun project. I hope once my busy days are over, I would have some time to take proper photos of my Project Life to share.

It's going to be a simple TODAY, cause it's going to be alone time with Kay over a simple takeaway dinner since Jayce might have to work a little longer today, and he will be heading for a housewarming, so just a simple evening with Kay. I love simple anyway.

Have great Sunday, and thanks for popping by with all your love.
