Where was I??

I can't believe this, only 1 post done in June so far, and this would be my next. 2 posts in 1 month.....i miss blogging, and definitely miss catching up with all my favourite blog sites. So much has been going on for me in June, truly this might be the busiest month ever in this year as well. We had my aunt and cousin visiting from Australia for 3 weeks, me being on leave and taking up the job of stay home mom for 2 1/2 weeks, having to work partially during my leave days, spending time with Kay during his school break and the very much anticipated trip to Universal Studio for Kay since it's our belated birthday gift to the little one and in the midst of all these, trying to be scrappy....

I'll let the photos do the talking and how much fun we had as a family of 3, so much needed quality time for Jayce and Kay during our stay at Hard Rock Hotel at Resort World. ** Warning, photo intensive with the same goofy smile from Kay!!**

At Universal Studio's Entrance....our start point before anyone became all hot and sweaty....

*This photo he said was for grandma......him drinking coke (a much forbidden drink)....i just let him indulge just this once.....

*Him at KT's Grill for lunch with the binoculars that daddy bought....i love this place....the interior and food......

* Finally my chance to have a "US" photo......it's very long overdued....

*One of his merchandise at the Dino shop....he literally went everywhere on this day till night with this clippy thing....

*His other indulge - ice cream, and it has to be in vanilla....his favourite. He calls it his "Ice Cream Beard". for your information, Kay has a name for each of his beard that he creates....

*Before his nappy time in the afternoon at Hard Rock Hotel.......pre-occupied with the IPhone.

*At the man made beach at Hard Rock Hotel....he stays dry longer than being wet.....

*His 2nd time on the Luge and the Skyride at Sentosa.....the morning before we head home....

& on the scrappy front....my long overdued project which i finished weeks ago.....Kay's 4th Mini Birthday album (of his 1st time celebrating at school).....my 1st time using DoodleBug Designs....not my usual style since it's super cutesy...but i like how it turned out though. Complete using the full sticker sheet, and like how i can actually finish using something....Papers are completely from October Afternoon's "5 Dime"...

School break is almost over for Kay....and i've only this weekend to think where else to be bringing him, and what should we be doing in September's 1 week school break (doesn't kill to be planning ahead).....& you know what he asked me last night "Mommy, you have not brought me to the boat hotel yet??" I'm sure you know where that its.....Yup right, The Marina Bay Sands......It left me and Jayce just rolling our eyes when we heard him ask it....LOL

I'm glad i'm back...though still busy with the everday life, I'm hoping to be back blogging more often....

Have a good week you all.....

In the middle of.....

* a 2 1/2 weeks of leave being stay home mom but sort of doing not such a good mommy cause I've been still working some days of the weeks doing half days at office, and i feel bad that Kay's been following me to work, and having to find things to "busy" himself with.

*trying to organise and give away some of my scrap supplies to friends around me.....

*trying to pack and tidy my home since I'm home half the time......

*a very busy period at work......starting from tomorrow onwards it's some half days at training till next week, so once again it's time away from Kay again when the purpose of my leave is to spend some quality time with the lil guy....:(((

*a school holiday whereby so far we've been for a night stay at Studio M, and Kaylen's first movie at the cinema - Kung Fu Panda 2, and this weekend we'll be spending it over at Resort World & Universal Studio....praying for better weather.....

*discovering my new Iphone 4 in white.....i'm such a slow one at this....but i'm loving my Iphone so much now for what it can do....the people around me knows that before this I had an iphone but always without the "i"....super under utilised for sure...

*finishing up this mini for Kay's recent 4th Bithday.......

Of what's remaining of my leave days, I'm going to get some time with Kay doing just the 2 of us stuff, and start taking photos......

Loving this weather...and I'll be soon home cuddling with Kay during his nap time. Now is to get myself away from the office to start spending some time with him....

Have a good day ahead :))))

Happy 4th Birthday Kaylen!!

To my ever so precious lil guy....Have a very Happy Happy Birthday!! You came into our lives 4 years ago today around this very time I'm writing this post, and we still remember very clearly the moments of your birth. You've brought us many happy moments since, and we've truly are blessed with you, and can only tell you just how much we love you.

Wishing you a life full of happiness and joy!

Our 4 year old......this morning brushed his very own teeth, and told me I'm big now mommy.....i'm holding on to as much as i have of him now, and treasuring the moments we have with each other.

I love today....

Let's Celebrate.....

We started early with the celebration of Kay's birthday at school which we held last Friday, and this is the 1st time that I've ever seen a lil one who's not keen or pleased with birthdays.....I really got a very special lil one here where you can see from the photos that all his friends are super thrilled except for the birthday boy himself....

The Cake.....His favourite Lightning Mcqueen...

The Hat......love the colours....& the polka dots..

His birthday goody bags....

Just look at my lil guy's expression...the most tensed birthday boy ever....

Kay with his best buddy, Isaiah (the lil guy with the yellow hat)

We concluded that Kay just doesn't like the attention after all, and after all it's mommy and daddy who had fun watching him at class, nothing like being a home. He is a totally different kid at school.

2nd round of birthday celebrations would be on his birthday itself, just some alone time with me & Jayce since it so happens that there is no school on his special day. Got him a surprise....and I'm wondering what his facial expressions will be like.

Thanks bro for the lovely photos of Kay at school, i can imagine just how depressing it can get if your object of the photo is just looking so unhappy......

Till then, have a good week ahead....

Thank you my lil one......

To my wonderful lil guy who gave me this chance at motherhood, i love you to bits. There is a side of you not many will see, the sweetness, the words, and the actions that only I get to see from time to time that makes you such a sweet child to have. Thanks for being you Kay, and i hope i will be a better mommy then i am now. I enjoyed our every moment together even this morning where i let you do my make up (what was i even thinking?).

What more can i ask for this Mother's Day? Got my very 1st Mother's Day card & a purple fuzzy heart you made at school (yup but instead you wished me "Happy Valentine's Day Mommy" when you flashed out the card from your school bag cause you always thought a card with hearts are for V-Day hmmm..but what the heck! I love it) and I'm always reminded that I've got you to be filling happy and blessed with my life. Thanks my lil one for everything.

Growing up so quickly right before my eyes.......

We made lil scrap gifts for 2 of the grandmas for Mother's Day too. For my mom, this cool drawing Kay made of her.....(grandma was asking where are my EYES!!!).....but i know she loved it, and thanks Mom cause you're been taking care of him since he was born and it means alot to me so that i can have peace of mind at work.

I'm so into everything butterflies.....got 2 packs of Pink Paislee's Butterfly pops....i should have gotten more.....

And for my mother-in-law, a photo taken during this year's Chinese New Year by my brother-in-law.... and i'm glad she loves it....i love IKEA frames especially the white ones....

And for myself, i worked on this LO using my most favourite series from Pink Paislee ever....Butterfly Garden (bought almost every single thing they have from this series.....& started to use my mist again.....

Title: A Mother's Wish

And coming soon.....someone is going to turn 4 in about 2 weeks time.....busy busy me....simple tags for Kay's birthday treat bags for his classmates. My scrap pieces came in handy to making these tags.

Busy clearing up my scrap MESS (as Jayce calls it) cause we're having my cousin from Australia visiting us at the end of this month, so we went out to Ikea during the long weekend a week ago to buy myself a nice white shelf and now I have no reason to not start to organise my beloved scappy supplies....& time to give out some stuff as well. Look out for my RAK!

Have yourself a good week ahead!!!

We are Potato Heads

That's what I call of Kay's drawing of each and everyone of us....see for yourself, and we truly look like a variety of potato shapes....also we resemble almost like each other and only he can tell us apart. Guess which one is me:) the largest one of course, and if you want to know which is daddy, he is the very small one in the top right hand side, and worst of without any hair (you should have seen Jayce's face....truly not a very pretty sight).

Kay has drawn himself right next to me( the one on the left), and the rest are grandma, and grandpa + there is even a rock with a face he says. His drawings has been like this since he started drawing, and gradually i see from the beginning of no smiles, to now some smiles on our potato faces from to time, and sometimes we even have ears (his ears are drawn as straight lines to the side). So when i saw this drawing he has done just recently, I had to scrap it......

Title : Potato Heads

Used latest Pink Paislee's Daily Junque papers, and Epherma packs, and a mix

of Hometown summer chipboards...

Here is a drawing of yours truly with no hair this time round....and this round Kay has started giving us matching potato bodies as well.....and he says that extra line drawn at the eyes was BLOOD....i've one very creepy kid...

I've kept most of his art work either drawn with crayons, paint or pencils, and I'm going to put together one mini with all his art work. Think it's the best way to create memories of what art is to him at this age. I bet it's going to be so cool when he looks back when he's lots older.

I have been trying to be scrappy too lately, working through a mini album for a colleague who's left us to embark on her journey of married life back in Indonesia, and she'll be coming back again in May before her marriage to send us invites, so this would make an ideal gift of photos of us taken with her before she left. It will make good memory keepsake. Here's a peek.....using my much hoarded October Afternoon papers.....

I miss scrapping more, but at this point of time, I'm just happy with scrapping whenever the creative juices come by, and definitely when I'm not too poofed out with the everyday life.

Just look at him....

I'm always in awe as I watch just how much he has grown. My days of waiting for his birth is still fresh in my mind, it's so much of the thoughts and feelings that have gone into his growing up days that i still can't believe it that in another month, he will be 4. I've survived mommyhood so far, still keeping myself sane despite the trials of a soon to be 4 year old, and i'm still loving every moment of this journey.

He is the love of my life, no doubt, my 1st born, my lil guy.......all in one....never is there a day that is dull when he's around me, and i would only hold tight to the memories of us he grows up finding himself, and me being a parent, and doing our best to build strong foundation of family ties, love, gratefulness and discipline. We see mini versions of me, and daddy within him, and this makes him uniquely ours.

I love looking through the many photos we've taken of him since his birth, the filled to the brim albums of my layouts (talk about this i've got to start to look for another new 12"x12" album), and the baskets filled of minis. Scrapbooking has taken me this far telling his story, and I'm sure it's staying with me.

Just look at how much he has grown the last few years, and i sure miss his little baby days even though it's the most tiring days i ever been through my whole life but we both think it's totally worth it. We totally love sniffing your hair cause it still smells like a baby to me.....and as much as i hate facing it that he's gradually not going to need mommy that much now, I want him to know just how proud I am.

I love looking back.....all these photos of him only brings back stories of that time.....thanks for all these memories Kay.....

This is him now......my soon to be 4 year old......

Love you lil guy!!
