As I work......

My dearest most beloved lil guy who happens to not be in school today because of some sniffles.....he is enjoying his life....doing his most favourite thing.....eating 2 half boiled eggs.... To be extremely busy the last few days at work having overseas suppliers over, it can make me feel really good to just open my e-mails (and thanks to my brother and sis in law who happens to be on leave at this moment) and see these photos of Kay popping in...makes me smile for sure, and all of the sudden i don't feel that tired anymore. My son has a certain effect on me whenever i see him....and in rare occasions he does pop a surprise by visiting me at the office when i least expect.... So here he is....when i'm at my busiest time of the day.....

I miss scrapping to a certain extend, and since being away from our home for the past 2 nights (been staying with my parents so that at least they can watch over Kay for me when i have late nights with my suppliers), so definitely hope to work on new layouts when I'm totally done feeling this tired.....yes yin wen one more supplier to go next week and you'll be back to normal.....till another 2 more weeks....

Completed my latest LO using Sassfrass Lass "foldies", a random mix of Crate Paper's chipboards....& so much more pink for a lil guy's LO. So far my son has yet to ask why i always use so much more flowers, and softer colours for his LO, so i'm scrapping according to how the photos make me feel, and to the scrap materials that i pick and choose to match his photos...

Title" He's turning 4

Have a great Tuesday you all and for me one more dinner with my suppliers tonight where i surely will be stuffing my face.

With all my time......

I'm looking at some spent planning for Kaylen's 4th birthday coming up in May. it's surely going to be a"Lightning Mcqueen" birthday themed birthday at school with the cake, all that yummy birthday treat bags that we're going to fill mostly with (decided not to have the usual birthday treat bags filled to the brim with snacks and sweets) little sticker books, erasers, pencils, crayons, party blowers, and yes a some lolly's from Sticky's and once i get my hand on those Lightning Mcqueen treat bags that i've been searching high and low for since 2 weeks back, Kay will start putting his treat bags together. I even have the treat bags catered for boys and girls in his class. The boys gets Lightning Mcqueen pinball games, and girls get a pack of Hello Kitty silly bandz (i so much prefer the girls treat bags for sure) besides all the other shared common items. This will be his 1st time celebrating his birthday at school and having friends celebrate it with him so i know he is looking forward to this and i have already plans to have this made into a mini album for sure. So much plans for May since it's Kay's birthday month, i'm booking our tickets online soon for Universal Studio (our birthday present to him this year cause he's got enough of trucks, trains, cars so we though he would like an experience and time spent just with mommy and daddy, and just the 3 of us), our stay at this boutique hotel- Studio M (kay has this thing for staying at hotels, it's one of his favourite places to be) since this was a price I won some months back given by one of my suppliers. I'm looking forward to also having some time to just scrap away, drown myself with all that latest products from my favourite brands, and just not think about anything other then scrapping. I will be lucky if in the next 2 weeks, i can even scrap 1 layout cause we've got overseas guest in town again, new business systems being implemented at work, so if i'm left with whatever ounces of energy left, I will steal away even if it's for that few minutes to just scrap a little. So bear with me if you don't see much of me......it will get better i know. Here's my latest play with Crate Paper....a mix between some products from both Portraite & Emma's Shoppe....hard to resist ranges...

Title: My Love

I hope i hope to see G soon cause i didn't get the chance to see her this week again....I certainly do miss chatting and updating each other with our busy lives.....& did i mention i haven't touched the camera for more than 1 month now, i hope by next weekend i will have the chance to just take Kaylen's photos cause he has grown so much, and i don't want to miss this for anything.

This weekend, it's just back to only me & him time, so even how tired i am from this week at work, i know all i need to perk up is just some Kaylen time, it's good enough for me.

Till then, my dear friends, thanks for still coming by....love you all!!

Catching up with Time...

Where did all my March days go?? Did i even take some time to just stop and take a breather? I can't believe that March just flew past me that quickly.

It's been already a week since I returned back from my business trip in Germany. Survived through the jet lag, the hot and humid weather since I've been feeling so cold pratically all the time when i'm there, 2 whole days where i felt my feet didn't belong to my legs due to the endless hours of walking through halls after halls, booths after booths & zillion products to go through.., the long flight hours (thank goodness for inflight movies, I watched straight for the whole 12+hours flight there & back, just not the type to be able to catch any sleep when i travel). Work loads at its highest peak, time spent with Kay in March is just so much lesser because i have to work over the weekends (another one more Saturday tomorrow, and I'll have my weekends with Kaylen again), no photos taken at all of Kay in March, not much scrapping done cause I'm totally tired out each night.

I have so much i would like to do, but it looks like i'm only going to get them done when i priortise, and nothing beats spending more time with my ever growing lil guy....i see him telling me now that he wants to be doing this or that "HIMSELF", yup signs of him not needing me so much like before......but that's life....he is really growing up.

I see him grow as i scrap out his and our stories through the photos. I like this. I enjoy just how much memories each of his photos reminds me of the time the photo was taken, and it only brings me smiles. I like how scrapbooking is to me, the meaning it has for me, and i see myself scrapping for a very very long time.

My recent piece before i left for Germany.....

Title: Falling Hearts

I'm looking for some time over the weekends if i'm not too poofed after putting Kay to bed that i can work with the new range from Crate Paper, Webster Pages.....they are just sitting there in the bags waiting for me patiently.....
Have a great weekend ahead you all. I certainly miss catching up reading all my favourite blogs. I will get to that soon, i hope :)

Title: Silly Faces

Next on my scrap desk, playing with American Craft's latest - "Hello Sunshine" papers. Love how they come in kraft too. I've got loads of photos from the past months to work on, and i hope i get to work on them this weekend before I fly. Counting down to the days where i'll be missing Kaylen so so very much, and counting down to the days where i will have him in my arms again.

Have a Happy Happy Thursday!!

It's been a tough week....

When you're already working almost over the last 2 weekends straight, no weekend time with Kay ever since, totally not enough of sleep, headache's & having to drive around with a very very heavy head as a result, and one very very sick lil one. This almost sums up my week since last Wednesday night.

It's very busy at work cause we're having our annual SALE event, and all that work & preparation needed drives me nuts at the very last minute, and then out of the blue, Kay came down with a fever on Wednesday night. No coughs or flu or sore throat to start with, just fever, and this time fever was high (went up as high as 39.8 degrees, and needing the serository at one point of time) and we just had no idea what's this sudden cause. He then started to say that his left cheekbone hurts when i press on it, and his voice was starting to just disappear. So doctor said he's sinus area is inflammed causing the pain, & his throat was inflammed following by the virus attacking his voicebox too. So you can just imagine me, worrying as always, and everything he's fallen ill, it hurts me to see him feeling all weak & all that medication he had to take leaving him all cold hands & feet, and not able to sleep well at naps or at night. Just in 5 days, 3 doctor visits.

He had earlier fell ill right before Valentine's day, and now this episode....we're both drained out and so are the grandparents who i'm thankful for watching over him when i have to work over this last weekend, and it keeps them awake late at night wondering how their grandson is feeling, non stop phone calls every hour to check on his condition, and yes we are all drained out.

This photo I've taken of Kay in Feb when he was ill, and just sitting & watching his favourite cartoons....in this photo he still has his cheeks....you should just see him now...sunken cheeks, 2 black eye circles from lack of sleep, and very very husky voice as he regains slowly his voice back again.

I just want him back, to be running around like mad, to be giving me his fancy antics, and silly sentences. Since yesterday's bed time, he's already treating daddy "badly" (this is his usual self) so we know he's going to be back to his happy healthy self soon.
I'm leaving for Frankfurt this coming Sunday, dreading the super cold weather (the last time i checked it was 6 to 7 degrees...yikes!!!), the days away from my lil guy. It's enough for me to not look forward to this trip. It's my job so i can't say no, just going to brave the bitter cold weather, and hope that my days will just fly past and i'll be back in no time......
Since Kay's starting to feel better (yes still at work i call back constantly to just check on him, and to be greeted with this super squeaky voice, and most of the time i can't make up what's he is saying), and i'm just looking forward to meeting G (FINALLY after a long one month+ of wait, the last time i saw her was days before CNY, so this is a much needed catch up), and hopefully i can also start on some scrapping. Miss this hobby so much since my last V-day scrap (been so busy at home & at work that i've no energy or juices to think about scrapping), and seriously itching to work on some new stuff i bought since weeks ago.
So till my next post (i miss reading & catching up all my favourite scrapping sites), I will see you again.
Have a Happy Tuesday!!

Minis....

Falling in love with creating them and looking at them, I see memories after memories, and i like it. I like how each of them reminds me of a time in Kaylen's life, and my minis are definitely growing in numbers through my scrapbooking years. Averagely i will work on 3 to 4 mini albums a year for Kaylen, and still on my pending tray to complete is our family's Szechuan 2010 travel mini (gosh it's going to be 1 year since our travel in April last year) & Kay's X'mas mini. I'm not sure when i will get the time to finish them, but i'm sure they will get completed for sure.
They are indeed my memory keepers, and i'm looking forward to working on many more of these mini for this new year.....& a new storage for these lil babies of mine for sure.
Till then, have a great Tuesday!!

Monday, February 14

It's a beautiful mess....

With a lil sickie one over the weekend (daddy's almost all recovered), let's just say I didn't get what i planned for, my Valentine's Day lunch. Instead we've made a mess at home practically, and even with my attempts to slighly clean up an area, it gets messed up almost in a second, but let's just say that the mess was indeed a pretty one though....i had fun, and so did he....it's one of a kind Valentine's weekend....I'll just settle for it since i did get to spend so much time with him...

So here's what we did over on Saturday & Sunday....i'm lucky that given the whole 2 days we had, he felt sick mostly in the afternoon (not to say that he's coughing was bad enough for him to wake up during nappy time, and puke on his bed....my poor lil one...)

We call it the "Paper Heart Project"....traced out large pink paper hearts so that he can draw, and give it to his teachers this morning for Valentine's Day....(but at the last minute i decided to keep him home today so that he can get a little bit more of rest, so Kay would have to give them as a belated pressie)

Love how dedicated he is to just cleaning out my wooden alpha stamps one a time with the wet tissue.....

See nothing seems to be in the containers which they are originally suppose to be (overturn cupcake containers, mixed up stuff in the bowls......i gave up sorting them cause once it's sorted, he says no....and puts everything "back" where they use to be)

His completed Paper Hearts....he drew of him & his teachers at school, and don't you think everyone looks almost alike....

Then we had fun playing with the foam hearts we used for his art work....and this time it's everywhere....i love that smile.....

& I had some messy fun too since Kay's table was already messy, i decided to just use his space during his nap time to create.....i got his paper heart traced out from this acrylic heart shape album that i got last year at 50% discount....and being too lazy to keep it back, i turned one page into a hanging decoration for Kay for his room door.....Went totally crazy pleating with washi tape.....

I love today, love how Kay wished me "Happy Valentine's Day Mummy" today, it's his official first though ever since he's born....love seeing how he prance around this whole morning with a heart shaped balloon.....we've got a cake for tonight & we'll do our very little own Valentine's Day simply with the ones we love...that's good enough just as long as I have my boys with me....that will do just great.

Smooches!!!
