Thank you....

Makes my 1st day back at work so much better....seeing this......thanks Sassafrass :)

I'm missing so much being away from everything back home & at work, that even how heavy my head can be feeling right now from the jet lag, or i'm not thinking as fast today as a result, i don't really care cause just as long as I'm back home, i'm one happy happy person.

Be back soon with some photos of Firenze (Florence), a gorgeous gorgeous place to be at....

Before I go....

I leave you with 2 layouts which i just completed last night for The Art Republic, and having fun creating this round with the latest "Lost & Found" series by My Mind's Eyes, and not to forget that with all that glitter to start with, it did get a handfull when i'm done, and i somehow manage to transfer some of these glitter to Kay that I've got him screaming at the top of his lungs "SHINY!!!" "SHINNNNYYY!!" & sticking out his 2nd finger right in the air.

This is as close as he got...

to holding on to that dinosaur paper lantern of his, and as far as he got from our home (which where he's standing is downstairs) cause anything else after this, he's all over the place at the playground, and it's me & jayce taking turns to hold his lantern, and no matter what we say he's still not willing to carry it. Argghhh!!! You can tell from his expression that he not keen on me taking his photos, and usually this is the face i get now adays when i whip out my camera.

3/4 of the kids of his age just wants to play at the playground more than carrying their lanterns, and we're not alone with this lantern carrying feat, but instead all the mommies & daddies are each either holding no less than 1 lantern, and some even 3 lanterns.....oh well, at least i'm there with him that matters most.

It might be a whole different story next year i'm sure.

How did your Mid's Autumn Festival went about?

Over his favourite bedtime stories...

we cuddled, and cuddled more. Just 2 of us in our PJs, quietly in a bundle of our own, me taking snifts from his hair, my voice just going on and on about the stories, and his asking what this or that means, and how i love that when i need such times with him before i leave for Italy, it comes, and even as i tell him each day that i'll be away for just that short while to Italy to work, he seems to know something, and he has been telling me that "he'll be sad, or he'll cry"....yikes...

I promised to come back with 3 sports car (like he needed anymore)...and some story books, and as the days i count down to me leaving, i've still tons to complete...2 layouts for Art Republic, packing of my luggage, and housework around the house. Hmmmm...i've got only 2 more days to complete all these cause i want my weekend (i leave on Sunday night)to be free to just spend time with Kaylen....just me & him.

Hoping that the weather will clear and give me a super cool evening for us to be at the park downstairs to enjoy the moonlight, and have Kay carry his paper dinosaur lantern this year. Hope to be able to capture some photos of this lil guy with my latest Canon Ixus 130.

Wishing you all a Happy Mooncake Festival, and a time for reniuon to all families.

Weekends all about....

Not thinking that I've only another 1 more weekend with Kay before leaving for Italy, but just enjoying the time i have with him at home, and we manage to get sometime at the bookshop looking for dinosaurs related books for Kay, and we didn't expect that on top of that, he came home with a truck as well adding to his one so many number of cars & trucks.

I've got to enjoy these lovely surprise flowers G's gotten for me for my birthday last week, and seriously i was speechless when they came into my office when i was still having a meeting....and now these sit lovely on my TV console, and when Kay saw them he said "ohhh flowers...."

And not to forget this special handmade mini G made that came along with the flowers, and this vintage purse.

I've also the time to put on the finishing touches to Kay's 3rd birthday album, using Maya Road's latest banner style chipboard album that fits perfectly with this birthday album for him...and i love how happy the latest series of Cosmo "Togetherness" range of chipboards, stickers & papers.

And this little guy likes what I've done, so what is there not to be super happy about!! He knows it's for him, and i think he's use to having mommy be cutting, sticking, and making endless layouts & projects for him to remember, and the word "scrapbooking" & "scrapbooking shops" are definitely not new to him...wahahaha....

It's off to the Mooncake Festival by the Singapore River tonight, and it's a date i have with my lil guy & my dear beloved family.
Have a good week ahead!!

& just like that....

I turned 35, and had spent the last 4 days totally with Kaylen. The best gift ever for me, and we did spent every waking moment together, and i'm the happiest. It's simple things that we do at home like playing cars, watching TV, doing laundry (yes my lil guy loves putting his own laudry in the machine, and loves pressing all those buttons to make the machine start washing), going to the supermarket, and all that laughing makes my birthday over the weekend the best ever.

Not forgetting, we've both our lil outing to the scrap shop, just me & him driving down to town, just us having lunch, and he was certainly well behaved during those couple of hours, so it's definitely more of such times in future cause Jayce was worried that he's just going to be handful like always when we go out.

I certainly feel well rested during the long weekend, and had some time to be scrapping again after stopping for such a long time. Playing with My Mind's Eye's latest cutesy series - Alphabet Soup, here's the piece with one of my favourite photo's of Kay's all time mischief...

Title: Mischief

My dear colleague is back now, all at work is falling back to its usual pace, & i can breathe a little better now, and it's another 2 more weeks before i leave for Italy, so lots of stuff to work on before i go....
Have a great start of the week, and thanks so much to my family & friends, for all the dear birthday wishes that will be with me...

With you....

Title: With You
(Sassfrass Lass Indie Girl)

- i've never ever looked back on motherhood
- i feel so blessed
- i've always someone to look forward to at the end of the day
- it has been the best journey ever for both mother & son
- i've done things i've never done before
- i can see parts of daddy
- i have my fair share of "hair pulling days"
- we've created so many stories to tell

Thanks son for all these beautiful memories, and i can't have walked this journey without you.
