Is it already Monday??

I'm always asking for more, more & more time with Kaylen, and as i wait eagerly for the 2 whole weeks in October to come so that i can be with him every single minute of the day, i'm making the most of my weekends. I usually come out of the weekends more tired than ever (not because that i scrap), it's because i like to do as much as possible to pack up my weekends.

Nevertheless, just this weekend saw me scrapping very slowly (Album project is about half done, and i've found myself staring at just 1page yesterday afternoon, and not knowing what to add - bad news, it seems like i'm having a scrap block), and i'm foreseeing that it'll be back soon enough for me to complete my project, and to be able to start new stuff the coming weekend. I've also put on final touches on my DT LO which I'm up for this week, and here's it....my 1st time working with Buzz & Bloom products, and i must say that for a person who uses very little of paints, mist or inks, i've sort of applied it on the latest Buzz & Bloom chipboard vines...& finished it with glossy accents. 1 large Buzz & Bloom token was left in its raw chipboard form cause i like how the colour matches up to the Fancy Pants papers. There are also tokens made of Denim which is adorable, and it suits this LO which for the very 1st time was made in a super BOY style....no flowers i sight, no soothing colours....just pure boy colours, and i'm liking how it turned out....

Title: Little Guy

Materials used:
PP: Fancy Pants
Chipboards: BUzz & Bloom (Aboretum: Retro VIne)

Denim: Buzz & Bloom (mini tokens)
Frame: Hall of Fame card (Azure)

Over the weekends, Kay's also taken his 3rd time riding on public transport, and as I've anticipated, he was just wide eyed all the way till we reached Rivervale Mall in Sengkang (we're wanting to check out Daiso which was opened about 1 month ago, and what's best than to use the public transport), and all the time Kay would just go "take bus", "choo choo", "train" till we finally reached home. Sometimes we're just too comfortable with driving here & there, that I've become spoilt cause i found myself saying to jayce "why is the bus not here yet", "if i've driven, we'll be half way there by now", "why is it so warm".....all signs of me just been too reliant on our car of 4 years, and before we ever had the car, we've been always taking public transport, and now this bus & MRT train thingy is all new to Kaylen, and before he becomes like me, we'll have him expose him more often that there are other types of transport we can take.
I'm ready for the work week, are you? Have a great Monday guys!

He says....

Kay said to me last night during his bedtime:-
"Nite nite mommy, i wuf you"
You can just imagine how just these few words from him melts my heart, and brings a smile to my face. Then it comes to me a question - "does kaylen knows what i love you means". He clearly knows that Barney sings of the song, and daddy tells him that he loves him everynight before bedtime, i do not think he knows much about the word "love" yet. Any parent will enjoy hearing their lil one tell them this, and in time to come, he would know what it means, how it feels, and just how wonderful this word can be too. He is more of copying what we say now, and certainly we are very careful with our words nowadays.

These are ready to be given out today, fuss free wrapping from me, and i'm a lover of ribbons, and i've like gotten rolls & rolls of satin & grosgrain ribbons in all the sweetie colours and in different widths fo gift wrapping purposes & sometimes i would use it on my LO's, and i simply love the variety this store along Arab street carries. I'm like a packing material addict, and you should see my wrapping storage whereby when we did the renovation for our home, i made sure that we had the designers create me a wrapping station whereby i have a table top which i can pull out whenever i need for such purposes, and special storage just for wrapping papers along. Now my wrapping station is converted to a semi scrap storage areas for cardstocks folders, paper pads, and a metal tray shelf for all my punches.

Thought of how i would like to pack this year's X'mas gift for my colleagues, and since the altered alpha are already so pretty in colours, i've chosen for them to be packed in clear cellophane bags, and tied up with a scallop punch tag in Kraft & using Creative Imaginations acrylic x'mas stamps. I like packing gifts in the most simpliest way, just me. More to come from my gift department, and with me starting early on the handmade gifts, i should have them finish on time.

I've got a sneekie for you on my latest DT assignment for Made with Love, and let's just say that I'm also misting for this LO......stay tune for the review on the coming Monday....

I'm continuing packing & sorting tonight of my scrap area once Kay's in bed, and ready for my fully packed day tomorrow. Nothing beats me having more time to spend with my lil guy over the weekends, & the company of a good friend to just enjoy scrapping.

Am sure you've gotten your weekends all planned out. Have a beautiful weekend!

Got to have them....

I'm one such person who cannot leave without having a list, whether be it at work or at home, or grocery shopping, or towards my scrap projects or layouts, i would always go about making list. Lately, my to do's seems to be growing, and at this moment, all these are listed out for me to attend to (a mix of gifts & scrap work).....

* 3 gifts waiting to be wrapped (one for my pal Ky's princess Val who's turning 2 tomorrow, one for my cousin who's back from the states who's lil girl Lotus is also turning 2 tomorrow, and another for my colleague who's birthday next week)
* 1 scrap Maya Rd chipboard album assignment to be completed for Made with Love
* 1 layout for Made with Love for next week's submission
* Kay's T-shirt Maya Rd album
* 1 scrap gift in a frame for my aunt in Australia for my mom to bring over to her
* 1 wedding albm gift for my friend who's getting married next month and I would be able to start after this weekend on it
* X'mas gift for my office colleagues which this year i'm scrapping each of them an altered alphabet, and would be doing this for my close pals as well for x'mas. So far, i've started & completed only 1 alpha which i completed in 1 night, so got to do my maths as to how much time i have till X'mas, and i'm still short of a few alphas which seems to be out of stock from Spotlight.
* X'mas cards to make (this year i'm using Cosmo Cricket for X'mas cards)
* 2 ang bao box to alter for my brother's wedding comer early of 2010

& at home, we've got laundry to attend to, a major super messy dining table cause i started to sort out my scrap stuff, and keeping part of my scrap supplies, and now i don't see the dining table but instead just baskets & trays & what have you all over, and the usual tidying up at home to keep the place sane, and i'm hoping soon i can get Kay to understand that he has to pick after his done with stuff. I'm doing a little at a time, and i'm preparing for a crop session this saturday so i need space to be able to do this. The list to get stuff tidied up & packed are constantly on going, and Jayce has indeed been the best help i can get at home & we most likely be celebrating Mid's Autumn Festival with a steamboat at my place, so every single thing on the scrap table has to disappear for awhile.

& at work, constant list are in place for me to get things done on time, and i'm seeing a busy Oct & Nov, cause usually at this time, our overseas supplier will make the travel to visit us, but to think that for 2 whole weeks in Oct that I will be stay home mom, i'll be cathing up with some work at home, and more afternoon scrapping time, & for the 2 whole week's with Kay, I've also started a list of food menu to make for Kaylen so that he's not stuck with mommy's boring cuisine, and a grocery list that comes with it for just that 2 whole weeks...

I'm organised with what's up for me....so i know i'm not in any frenzy mood to be missing anything out.

Have a great Thursday!!! and thanks for the constantly love you leave me...

Weekends....

It's never enough for me given the amount of days we have over the long weekend. I'm terribly greedy when it comes to having that amount of time i have with Kaylen & Jayce. This long weekend is spent mostly out of the house except for the afternoons when we're home for Kay's nap to have that ounce of time to just pack my scrap area as it is truly needing a tidy up cause whenever i want to pack, there are several factors that either slows me down or i can never pack anything and worst of the area would turn out more untidy than ever. Trust me when you have a 2 year old lurking around the corner, packing up just becomes more difficult.

Lately, Kay's been super interested with my scrap desk, and without help i find him everyday kneeling on the chair, and hands on everything. He loves this particulr bubble pack envelope that i have laying on the table, and he would always say : "Kay Kay make...." and starts to stuff things he like into it such as my MM rub on strips (he ruined one entire packed when the screw came off, and to any scrapper's nightmare, strips of alpha rub on all over the floor, and there is glue tap, rolls of tape and among it a tape roller (those that you use to remove lint or hair from your clothes...and just this morning, i took a peek in this envelope, and in it I found my mobile phone arggggghhhh)

Jayce always says that Kay is like mommy, playing with scrapbook supplies...i'm waiting for him to be old enough to have him join me at a crop.

Look at him...if you can see his hands, they are already dipped into a jar of buttons when i took this photo....

He loves buttons, beads and everything small and in many many quantities the best, and since young he never had a habit of putting things in his mouth, so we're fine with him handling small items, but just that sometimes these small stuff gets hidden in the carpet, and you'll hear either me or Jayce going "ouch...what's that??"

We've also brought Kay down to the Sengkeng Recreation Centre to try out the pool, and yikes, from the entrance of the recreation centre, we had to literally pull him in (he saw the pool, and next came a very super unwilling face...he hated it!!!), then came the struggle we had to put him into the swimming trunks and he just kept saying : "go upstairs, go upstrairs (that's where the entrance is), and in the verge of tears, and when we headed down to the pool, he just burst into tears. Gosh what's the odd of finding a kid that doesn't like water & the pool. He just clinged so hard to me, no matter how much fun my brother & jayce was having dipping in the babies pool (mind you 2 grown up man in a babies pool, making funny actions to coax him into joing them does look like a funny sight), and me & my sis in law doing our best to prep him, all just failed. I have all red faced, mucus drooling & very upset lil one in my arms. And when Yixi splashed water on his trunks, it made it worst, he cried even harder and stay "take out, wet wet". Kay hated the fact that he was already staring at a super large swimming pool filled with people, and now he is wet in the trunks, total nightmare". I have a queer kid who likes it clean, and dry, and it's been months since Pulau Spring, and the last attempt of him in a pool situation. How are we going to attempt our next try again as we've planned for a weekend stay at Sentosa next month, and getting him to go to the beach for some sand castle time.....it's not the end of this story for sure...

At 28 months, Kay's got himself a few "i'm afraid of ...." and he is aware of what's it like being scared, and sometimes as he lays in bed for bedtime, he would say "scared, hold hands"...i would hold his hands, and he would go on to say "not scared". No matter how much he has grown over time, he's always my baby, still unsure of certain things in this world, and he is rather timid at certain times especially when there is an element of surprise to come.

Tons to do around the home, loads to look forward to over the upcoming weekend cause i'm having a very special friend over at my place , and to me be spending time with her is what i'm looking forward to since the last time i met her was at my wedding which 4 years back. Yilin's getting married next month, and i'm so looking forward to scrap her a wedding mini album of her wedding photos as a keepsake. I love creating gifts for my pals cause it's definitely one of a kind, and it's something special from me to them, and for me to know that they like it, it's good enough.

Hope to get scrappy tonight, and in the midst of creating an album for Made with Love, so keep a look out for it!!

How much do you love...

This is just how much he loves Mickey. Mickey is constantly there with him, he offers Mickey imaginary food, hugs him, cleans him with wet tissue, and just on Sunday, Kay actually dropped his entire bowl of rice on Mickey, and went on to say ' sorri". He has a Mickey CD which he asked for it day & night, and it's the sort of Mickey CD that has all the classic Mickey in it, and he is just so much taken to it that if we are to stop playing the CD, he would just go ballistic, and we get treated with screams of a few seconds, and he stops.

This is their story, and I will have this story told of both of them and scrapbooked into an album. I enjoy these photos which i've taken of them....

Never one moment can i get a proper photo face.....

He lays with him.....sweet...

It's Kay in his peppa pig underwear (Kay's in the midst of being potty train) and still laying all over Mickey...

Kay loves to sit on Mickey's leg, and at his current size, Kay fits just snugly under Mickey's chin..

It's Tuesday, and i'm so looking forward to this coming weekend cause it's public holidays again. It's going to be a busy one for us with photo taking for my youngest brother's graduation photos at a studio, hunting for printers for the church booklet & ribbons with my sis in law, another appointment after that to view my other sis-in-laws wedding gown at Ted Wu. Saturday's just going to be out the whole day for me with my mom watching over Kay as i get these errands done, and sunday with lunch lined up with my brother's in laws, and hope to get some quiet time to just spend it with Kay & Jayce, and time for some scrapping too.

There's a mid month challenge going on at Made with Love, and Emeline's up with her challenge. Do give it a try!! Bet you that it's going to be great fun.

Enjoy your Tuesday!!

This is in the making.....

More play with the American Craft - Blue Skies series, and i'm sure i'm going to love this when it's completed.....till then.

Just that simple...

Spending my birthday over the weekends was just pure bliss. Just having a quiet saturday with the boys was the best birthday gift ever cause time with my family is just that precious to me given that jayce works practically everyday, and with his off day falling on my birthday this year, i'm just one super happy person. It's saturday like always, and me going on with our usual saturday stuff.

A black forest birthday cake...yums...

The boys goofing around (it's actually Kay meddling with my basket of thread...he always say to make snake by lining the different coloured threads in a line...hmmm)

Caught Kay sniggering away...love this photo....

Was also super scrappy over the weekend....don't know how but was able to create 2 LO's just in 1 day....and i started it in the wee hours of my birthday....and you can see i love KRAFt!!!

I had the chance to also meet up last Friday evening with Avina, Esther, Pooi & Geraldine, and when you get these gals at the table, it's like conversation forever. I'm meeting some of them Esther & Pooi for the 1st time, and these are just ladies with creative juices & talent cause they really give you good product recomendations of products, and techniques, and i must say that the way each of them scraps tell alot about their style. I love meeting up with them, and hopefully i get a much longer time with them.

Hope you're having a great Monday so far cause although i'm swamped with work, i'm just feeling happy!
