Still in the midst...

of constantly having to organise, pack and sort out my scrap area, and the scrap supplies which happens to grow by the weeks, and i found that i'm the type of scrapper that needs to see what i have, in order to plan my layouts. Unfortunately a scrap room is what i don't have at this moment, and this area has been my santury for the last 2 years, and also where i gather my friends for a crop session to actually catch up on good old days.

I've got more storage bins, baskets, buckets for different types of scrap products, and the latest hanging unit which jayce fixed up from me which he bought them from Daiso came in so much handy cause now this is where i would place my commonly used items from flowers to blings/pearls, to stickers. I might get just another 1 more such unit. I sort my scrap stuff according to its type, except for the patterened papers, they are sorted out by brands. I find such organising way makes it so much easier to look for specific types of products. What's your sort of organisation?

This is my scrap desk....

And my lovely hanging unit....

And this space of mine is constantly invaded by this little one....as much as i love this space, Kay loves it in another form of way....let's call it exploration....

yes, what's next to do???
Adore this look as he meddles with my latest Martha Stewart punch...caught!!

I'm still continuing with the packing cause i've got 3 bags of recent purchases still awaiting for me to sort out, and the odds and ends, and yes there happen to be 1 LO which i started out last night sitting on the desk awaiting to be worked on. All still in the midst....
Have a beautiful Tuesday!

This is my little guy...

At 26mths, Kaylen's a definite ball of energy. He's my constant reminder that i'm a mommy, and always i know how beat i get at the end of each day, he's going to be just the one who perks me up. I've never had 1 dull day after having him in my life.

He's saying so much more now than when he turned 2, and i'm getting some sort of conversations when we speak, and i'm enjoying every minute of this semi understandable words, and part of his baby words all mixed within.

Yes with him, I'm faced with times whereby my sayings or my to do gets ignored totally, and also i get tantrums here and there and sometimes it does wears my patience cause i simply can't tolerate unruly behaviour. I love him to bits, and for the love i have, i'm not about to turn into one of those parents who would just leave it alone when he is naugthy. He knows whenever mommy is angry, and would also look back at me when he tests the water on his naughty actions, and this would follow with a sulk almost immediately, and then cries. He knows which parent to bully which often in our case - daddy. Daddy is just simply too nice to even raise his voice, and when he does, Kay just simply ignores him. Gosh the kids nowaday are so different from our time.

He goes through phases in his life, has his 1st times for many things, and i'm enjoying all these precious moments, and each night when i tuck him to bed, and when he is semi falling asleep where i don't have to be exchanging pre-bedtime conversations with Kay, I would have this silent time whereby i think of stories to tell about him for my next scrap layout. I want to be able to have these stories about him, about things associated to him, and all these would be in my mind constantly. I never want to miss out cause all these are for him from me. I guess that's the best thing i can give to him. Great memories of his childhood, and of us, and of our family.

This is Kaylen for you, in one of his cheekiest moment taken by my brother last evening....(thanks Xi for loaning Canny (it's my brother Canon 40D DSLR camera and we named him Canny) to me to continue taking great photos of him)

Life's greatest gift - My Son, Kaylen
Have a good week ahead!

Feels good this Saturday

Every Saturday has been great since i know it's time for me to spend with Kaylen at his usual GUG classes, and most importantly bonding time since i don't get that very much on my usual work week. And today, it's extra fun since i have my close pal J & her girl Calista coming over to my place in the afternoon for a session of scraps. They will be creating their very own scrap LO, and it's time for me to also catch up.

For me, it's time for packing and organising again, and my dear hubby had set up some sort of hanging unit for me, and until had completed it with the organisation of it all, i will post some pictures. I'm actually running out of storage space, and i very much would like to have my own scrap room someday. Till then, i'm going to still be scrapping from my dinning table (which i literally took over every inch of the table space, and Jayce has been so sweet as to not say anything more), and i'm loving the hanging unit he set up.

This is my latest work on a 12x12 LO, and titled "Make a Wish". I've still photos from his 2nd birthday in May to scrap, and this happen to be a very special one taken of him before he blew out his candles.....

Thursday, July 30

It's Thursday....

Didn't i just started off with Monday, and it's already Thursday already. It's crazy. Work is on high for me at this moment, and yes i do need weekend to be coming soon. Who never likes weekends?

This came for me in a small brown package, and yes like all brown packages, it definitely holds little surprises that just perks me up instantly. Have been waiting like forever for this, and now it's around my neck at this very instance. Precious, delicate, and a constant reminder of 2 very important people i love, and have in my life. I got this handmade necklace from the vintage pearl at http://thevintagepearl.etsy.com/ , and Erin definitely does small pretty trinkets like these, and so handmade.

I also have this LO to complete since working bits on it for the last few days, and it's only 50% done. Chosen to work on colours out of my comfort range, but i'm liking what i see so far on the scrap desk.

What's your Thursday like today?

What do you do with this face??

Gosh i love how weird Kay looks in this photo (it's the angle at which the photo was taken last evening), but on the other hand i can't seem to resist the following:-

* planting tons of kisses on those cheekys of his
* smelling his newly cut hair (with compliments from grams whose been doing his hair cuts & trims every since his very 1st horrendous terrifying hair cut at the kids salon, Kay practically brawled his eyes out, and those were the longest 20mins ever for me & my mom)
* giving him huge bear hugs non stop
* holding his face and telling him that i missed him for the day
* and doing everything above over & over again

Yup that's how much i'm in love with my little guy, and yes this will be the next photo i will be scrapping for sure, and maybe title it "Things I'm doing to this face"

I'm working for half day today, and getting some retail theraphy with my pal Pam, and it's about time i get some new wardrobe for work, and take a short break and have a good lunch time catching up with her too.

Thanks for all your well wishes, and i'm certainly doing my best and hope to bring you all new fresh pieces.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

It's a dream coming true....

It's something which i never ever thought would happen when i first started out scrapbooking 2 years back. Through this journey not only did i create memories for my boy to have in the future, i also made new friends who inspire me with their lovely work and most of all each of them so distinct and different in their very own way.

I made it to our LSS - Made With Love's Design team call which i entered, and i can't be any happier at this great opportunity. Check it out....i'm just all smiles for the rest of today. Thanks Made with Love for this!

http://www.madewithlove.com.sg/blog/2009/07/28/design-team-inspirations-43/

To those who encouraged & gave me constant kind words, and liking what i created, it means a lot to me. Thanks you all, and hugs!

And to my fellow scrapper - Geraldine, a huge hug & congratulations to you too for making the team. Like what Pooi said before, we're in for loads of fun!!!

Till then, have a beautiful Tuesday!

All in one weekend...

I'm definitely still recovering from this past weekend, and hope to be feeling up & going again as i start my work week once again. Kay's saturday classes at GUG was fun but super tiring for me cause this week, Kay decided not to listen to anyone, and once again he was everywhere in the classroom, dancing along with the music (was good to see him responding to the songs at music class this week), had his moments of tears when class started, and for the rest of the 1 1/2 hr, i was like a crazy woman having to go after him in circles and getting him to just stay put at one spot. A terribly hard job, but fulfilling cause Kay's enjoying himself by participating and doing stuff his own way, and music lessons definitely his fave.

Sunday morning was spent at Mcdonald's with grandparents for breakfast, and a walk at the Ang Mo Kio park, and from the look at the photos, you can tell how much he enjoys being outdoors.

He is never short of funny faces to pull at you....just in a few seconds,

i get that many funny faces

Only that little when it comes to the massive number of steps we have to climb....

Then a trip to daddy's favourite place....the fish shop...i just can't believe that Kay actually took the stool and sat right in front of the tank to watch.

And over last weekend, we celebrated daddy's birthday as well, and my sis-in-law baked Jayce a beautiful chocolate mousse cake, and yummlicious home made chocolate ripple ice cream. And this is for sure the most simplest birthday ever for jayce cause this year, he didn't want to go anywhere for his birthday dinner, he just wanted to stay at home, and to receive such lovely and yummy gift in the form of everything chocolate, this was the best thing ever, and he certainly enjoyed it all to himself. My dad made him birthday mee sua as well, and he wished that everday was his birthday. Here's a pic of the hand made birthday cake.

And how can i get through the weekend without any scrap theraphy, and i had a great time just having to sort through my ever growing stash of embellishment required for Pooi's POW-WOW embellishment challenge at MWL, and here's my take. Using embellishements - rub ons, flowers from Prima & blings and all documenting my "first".

You will always have a very special place in our hearts as our first born."
