- he was not going to be listening to me much
- he was not going to be sitting still
- he was going to giggle when he hears the teachers or me speak Mandarin
- he was going to be everywhere in the classroom
- he was going to enjoy himself during the 1 1/2 hour
- i was going to be so dead tired after the session
and yes i've guessed it all right (except no giggling when the Teacher Liu spoke to him in Mandarin, surprise, surprise!!), and so true after Kaylen's 1st GUG session at United Square. I was completely beat, and even more tired since i had to go work after his class, and that night, we were in bed at 9plus.
And now, this cute little art work is sitting in my office, and can't believe it that this is Kaylen's 1st officially artpiece done (of course with mummy's help with the glue). It was only less than 10 mins, but having him to literally sit still, and at the table doing this meant alot, and afterwhich he started to show his medical box to grams, to uncle Yixi, aunt jianxi, and the last person he showed it to was daddy. You should just see the look on Jayce's face, so proud of the work, and we're deciding to find a proper place to keep all these pieces, and for now this 1st piece will be in my office till the 2nd, 3rd, and many others to come before storing them away for keepsakes, and definitely great scrapbooking materials.Kay needs time to adjust to such environment, and what's important is that he has fun at such classes, and the interaction he gets with kiddos of his age (he has his friend - Phoebe for every class, and both of them started together, and i'm glad that i get to see Pam too cause we're the sort that would meet once every few months to catch up, and the fact that both our lil ones are of the same age - Phoebe is just 3 days older than Kay, makes this whole catching up more interesting cause we've just widen the topics to kids). He learns cause when we got home, we went through some of the words (and in Mandarin too), and now daily we just go through with him the Zoophonics that they sing in classes (you can imagine me & jayce singing terribly away & the actions) to help him familiarise, and at grams, she tries to speak some Mandarin too.
I had fun too with him, and although very draining to my energy (you should see me eat after the session), i'm enjoying this.
Over the weekend, had time to scrap alittle, and this was done for Father's Day for Jayce...
