I guess Monday's are mostly filled with happenings, and whether be it good or bad, it's all within my means of either letting it get to the rest of my day (it happened to by brother too this morning, and now instead of only me feeling like crap, it's now 2 of us feeling like crap). This just makes me feel loads better, and thanks Made with Love for just doing something as simple as picking my LO for the "layout of the week"..... it's one of Kay's birthday LO.

Just asking that time will pass a little quicker than it is now cause the last time i looked at time, and now only 15 minutes had passed....looks like it's going to be a slow day.

I love the fact that...
Scrapping allows me to:-
Have a good Monday!!
- express how i feel towards someone or events marking my life.
- calm myself down when i know my whole day doesn't seem to be going that well
- slow down, and reflect about life, and where i am at this moment
- appreciate all the pretty things in life, and also pretty things found in the world of scrapping
- cultivate relationships with family & friends over a good crop session
- make new friends who shares the same hobby, and are as crazy about it as i am
- let my creative juices flow freely, and that's no right & wrong about how we scrap
It's Monday, and today isn't a very good day for me from the start of the morning, and the first thing that came to my mind - " i must scrap tonight!"
Leaving you with a piece i finished last evening....and one which would leave a smile on my face cause it's about Kaylen...

Cooking Lessons, anyone?
I must admit that i don't cook very well, and how i managed to cook meals each weekend for Kaylen sometimes amazes me that it is still edible (or maybe Kay is just being polite), and sometimes i get jayce telling me that it's okay tasting. There are people who hates my cooking for sure (like my brother), and i'm not asking to be a master in cooking, but somehow for my cooking skill to meet in between of yucky & excellent. My dad cooks well and so does my brother, and my sis in law, and i'm always very lucky to have them provide me with tips along the way, but when it comes down to actually cooking it, i'm a mess. I do my best, and hopefully by the time Kay is much older to be able to take more different sorts of dishes, i can actually be prepared to whip up yummy stuff for him. I prepared fried egg noodle with shredded chicken & mixed vegetables for him today, and you know with food that lil ones can take now are not that tasty, i had my dad tried it and he said it's tasteless, and why does it look so sloggy (which means "FAIL"). And when Kaylen ate it, he just went "ummmmmm", which he usually say to stuff like ice cream or things he likes to eat, so i self comforted myself that it's ok by Kaylen's standard.....
As for the lil ones, he has lately been more interested in cooking utensils and what have you, and as long as he can get his hands on them, he would be saying stuff like "fry", "cook", "pot".....and at this age, they are up to cooking anything & anywhere....

Yup lil fishes from a fishing game uncle Yixi got him
now sits in the frying pan.....
Could this be the future chef in making's face...
Then out comes the fishes, and in goes the wooden vehicles board...

I started....
with my very 1st layout, followed by the 2nd one and since then, i've never looked back. Scrapbooking now for me has become part of my everyday life. A way i use to tell Kaylen's story and our story, and i'm happy that i've started this hobby when he was only 3 months old, where memories of his birth is still fresh, and i wanted to create a long lasting memory for him when he grows up. Something which wasn't in my time.
Started out with just some patterned paper, brads (i was crazy about this little things), flowers & stickers, and with no knowledge about how to go about scrapping, i sat down and just went ahead pasting & arranging, but thinking to myself that the papers has to somehome look organised & proper. No layering, no other embellishment of any sort, and i had the mind of having always more than 1 photo. That's what scrapbooking was to me when i started out in August 2007.

And with time passing by, my interest for this hobby grew, style of scrap layouts has also evolved, and the amount of scrap supplies are endless (moving on to rub ons, to chipboards to owning punches & clear stamps, to AC letters in bunches and of course more stickers, flowers, but i've stop buying brads, don't ask me why). I see more layering since don't know when, i started to tear my paper at times, and i've mostly always been working with 1 photo in my layouts. Don't think i would be able to scrap simply as how i started out, and i just love the fact of having little details grazing my LO from time to time, and i believe in every of my LO, i can see a distinct "Yin Wen" style within them.

of, cause i started out just clueless)

My 2nd piece titled "Facial Expressions"

My scrapping journey is definitely staying with me and i see myself doing this till i get real old, and i'm hoping that somewhere along this journey, Kaylen would join me when he is old enough to be snipping away at the papers & documenting little things or events in his life (i've already gotten him a scrapbook awaiting for him when he is ready).
How has your scrap journey been for you?
Have a good thursday you all, and hugs!! Thanks for coming by!

Life at its best.....
For all things little & beatiful in my life, and for this i'm certainly contented at where our life is at the moment.
Having a lil one to experience very simple things in life....
Watching him growing into a lil individual with a strong mind of his own....

Loved ones who's been there all our lives, and such great people whom we call family......

Letting him know that i'm always with him, never too far away.....

Being able to feel his excitement & pure joy just with simple walks in the park
His heart melting smile that never falls to light up my day....

His curiousity in everything around him.....
For the amount of energy which i thought i never had to just keep up with him....
For a sister whom i never had in my life.....

Knowing that he is well taken care of, and she's done a fantastic job.....

Believing that sometimes things don't turn out the way he wants it to be.....
