Latest Mini Book

Had fun creating this mini book for Kaylen, and the journalling which you can't really see from the pictures are written in Kay's point of view, and when he gets older, he can always have this mini book to look back at the toys he used to play with & love. All the patterened paper used & most embellishment from Making Memory Just Chillin range.

Hope you have a great weekend ahead and thanks for all the well wishes to Kaylen. He is feeling loads better now already (yes after an ice cream treat last evening).

New Scrap Fave

This helps to take my mind of Kay's misadventure last night, and today so far has been an okay day at work, just me having to call back at lunch time to check on how's my lil guy's doing. He's okay, eating ok, being his naughty oldself is all i need to hear. Peace of mind.

Thinking of scrapbooking helps at times. Usually when i take a break from the endless trails of paperwork, my mind would switch to scrapping, and today i was thinking of my recent purchases and of which i have not touched it yet, and it gets me all excited that it's new to me.

Webster Pages
- this lovely line which i cannot resist, and bought them
sometime back
will either use it on my wedding pictures, or pictures of me

& the irresistable yummy letter stickers....

And not that i have turned heavy metal,
but these cute little metal clips, pins & trinkets
from Tim Holtz are equally hard to resist. For
those who know him, would know
Tim Holtz's products..loads of metal

I'm guessing I'm spending Thursday night with these babies.... not before i spent quality time with Kaylen, and nursing his very sore head with ice packs, and daddy will be extra extra careful for sure.
Have a great thursday!!

my worst nightmare

has finally happened. And what seems like a regular evening of getting home for the 3 of us, turned within seconds into "hell broke lose". It all happened in seconds, and there was Kaylen crying & bawling his eyes out. It's daddy's & Kay regular playtime while i was in the kitchen, and when i heard Kay's cries which was not usually the ones we get, i know something was wrong.

Kay fell when Jayce was playing with him (boy, was i angry at daddy), he slipped from the "flying" car that jayce was playing with him, and fell back on his head at a certain height, and onto the tiled floor. The bump felt nasty, and he just cried the longest ever, and being parents it's the hardest to see your lil one be in such pain.

Rushed to the 24hr A&E, waited like the longest for our turn, waited somemore for the x-ray, and thank goodness no fructure, just a bad bump to the back of his head, and was asked to just monitor him for the next few days. Had to coaxed Kaylen to bed, and yes there were little whines due to his very sore head, and i stayed with him for the whole night, and when he woke up this morning, he said "car" (he fell from his mobile car at a height when daddy was carrying both the car & him on it, and thank goodness that it was not too high), touched his head a little and proceeded to showing me the spot where he fell. Didn't want to be near the his car initially, making an effort to avoid it for a part of this morning.

And the cuteness of it all, Kay went back much afterwards to ride on his mobile car again, and to get to work, we had to bring him and his car along (in the car ride, can you just imagine having the mobile car of his size sitting on his lap, and in the car seat). Kids.....

I'm just drained out with all the rush and emotions last night, scrapped for 20 minutes to keep await long enough to be constantly checking on him. Life....

Everyday...

I would be looking forward to Kaylen's bedtime. It's our time, a time where it belongs only to me and him. A time which is not shared, and to me very precious. Daddy has his own alone time which is at play when we get home each evening, and i'm very sure to daddy loves his alone time too.

Like every other day, tucking you to bed would start at 9pm, and at times Kay would take 1/2 hour to 1 hour to fall asleep. In between, we have our very own little conversations (me of my own words about my day, or what's going to happening tomorrow, and you in your own baby language). Of couse the latest, i have you saying nite nite to me. Not once, but many times. I would always answer back "goodnight Kaylen", and you "ma ma nite nite". Sometimes you would just go on and on with your baby language, and me trying to figure out what on earth you were trying to tell me. So both of us in the dark, just talking away. I just love this.

1 year ago, would just be me mumbling away to myself cause you don't say anything, but now look at you, trying to converse in your very own way, and this is special. My baby is now all grown up, starting to express himself with little words, and more facial expressions, with little trantrums from time to time, wanting to explore by yourself when you come to a new environment, I'm amazed and happy at how much you have grown. I'm holding on to all these precious moments, and i'm so going to be journalling and scraping about this post. My baby is really growing up just too fast....

This was Kaylen at my workplace at only 6 months old.
So cute & chubby, and full of life...
His 1st time sitting in a basin was at 4 months (and my
brother made a mock advertisement out of it...)

In another months time, Kaylen will be 2. Have i been a mummy for that long of a time, the thoughts of his birth is still fresh in my mind, and soon he will enter into another phase of his life. So precious and dear.

Hope your Wednesday is beautiful, and filled with happy thoughts. I'm having a blast of a Wednesday!!!

Life is Beautiful

Yes indeed when you know you have family around you whom you love, a great lil guy whose growing up so quickly each day and progessing with each every day of his life, friends whose dear to your heart, and above all a life ahead of you. What more can i ask for? I took a moment to realise that what i have now is precious, and must never ever take my life for granted or even people around me for granted cause i only live this life once, and i better live it without regrets.

Sunday, April 12

It's sunday already??

Gosh i hate it when time just flies by like this. Going back to work again, and having an overseas visitor in the mid of the week, and knowing that since i had only a 3 day's work week last week, i can just imagine what's awaiting for me in my e-mail box when i return to the office tomorrow, and the work that has to be done.

I just can't believe it that i was able to complete 2 LO's, and half an album since Friday and it's been the most productive weekend ever for me. I'm happy at how my LO's turn out to be, and here's a peek of my latest LO which i used paper from Lily Bee Designs which i've gotten them online. Will have my 2 Lo's reviewed tomorrow.

Leaving you with wishes to a great Sunday ahead, and for me what's left of it, and to be spent with my little guy.

He said...

2 nights ago at bed time. Kaylen said to me "mama, nite nite".My sweet lil guy for the very 1st time says goodnight to me. Not expecting anything new and bedtime is as always and as usual, just me tucking him to bed, staying with him in his bedroom till he falls asleep. Sometimes "we" talk (me going on and going about daily stuff, and Kay in his gibberish language), and like always i would say a million times of good night. And this time, i have him saying something back to me. This is just so precious, and last night was the same too, and kaylen just kept repeating nite nite over & over again, and i would just answer back. This is just sweet. He is not saying much at as compared to others his age, and yes his vocab did grow from one month back. I'm like always waiting for him to start to say more stuff, and we just go on with daily conversations with him, and my mom teaching him on and off from picture cards, but there is just how much Kay wants to be listening.I'm one who likes to have Kaylen play more, and learn through everyday conversations and showing him of stuff around us, and occasionally to flip story books with him when he sits down. He is one very active kid, and at this age he is just not sitting still or long enough for me to be teaching him words through books or cards. So i just go with the flow, when he picks up his books on his own, i would just go through certain words with him, and i think it's enough for now and i always tell him that he speaks when he's ready.

At age 23 months, he has added these below words to his bag of vocab...
- no no no (he never says it once, always a few times)
- oh no...
- fry egg (he loves watching my mom fry his scramble eggs for breakfast)
- door
- tuck (when things gets stuck, he would say this)
- clo (for close)
- flau (for flowers)
- nite nite

We spent the last 2 days at home since the public holidays cause all the adults are busy with moving the house over this long weekend, so it's better that Kay stays away from all the boxes & dust. It's just me and him over the weekend, and he has been good around me (i've noted that once daddy is in the house or anyone else, he becomes naughty , and does all sorts of stuff, and simply refusing to listen).

Manage to also have my sis in law around with me for the last 2 afternoons scrapping cause she's making an album, her very 1st album creation. So i had sometime in between Kay's nap to create as well.

Kay's just playing quietly by himself this Sat morning,
which was so good.

a sneak peak of my LO which i used the earlier colour scheme of
the easter eggs to create...

Had time to work on another album for Kay using
Maya Road dinosaur shaped chipboard album
and this mini album is base on Kay's fave toys & stuff (from when he,
was 1 year old to current) & i titled it "Kay's Playthings".
Here's a peak at the cover page...
Wished time will just slow down a little cause i'm enjoying the time i have with Kay at home, and before i go back to the work week again.

Hope you enjoyed your long weekend as much as i did.
