Started at 5.45am this morning, and i'm sort of getting use to such early wake up time of Kaylen for the last one week. Decided to tolerate through his cries, screams & whines by placing him back in his bed, and who knows in half an hours time he fell asleep again till close to 8.30am. So i'm going with this should this happen again tomorrow morning. His whole sleeping pattern was just totallly out of what he was every single week, and this kept us wondering. He took a nasty knock on his lips last night, and hmmmm now an unslightly swollen lump on his lips. Boys will be boys.
With only 2 weeks away of me flying off to Germany,i've got a free afternoon today to go ran some errands and get some travel stuff for my trip, and it's not complete if i don't pop into my regular scrap book store. I have my sis in law with me today , she's started on scrapbooking too, and she makes a good company when i have time away from Kaylen for the next few hours today. Yixi is busy doing his projects, and Jayce is working today, so it's just us gals hanging out together.
I'm going to be off from work soon, and looking forward to getting some scrap theraphy later as i shop away...

It's been a WEIRD week
On top of it, we are just simply poofed out. Totally no scrapping at all, and not even getting any where near my scrap desk, and on the desk sits the unfinished LO (still 20% more to complete) which i started last Sunday, and it's going to again another Sunday approaching.
Kaylen's been up every morning this week at either 5 or 6am, been very whinny & noisy, and super sticky with me. For a start, he has an ulcer on his inner top lip, and it must have bothered him, and it's not helping that the weather we had this week was so hot. And as we thought that he had stopped crying whenever anyone of us leaving the house for work, or leaving anywhere, Kay is once again back to his "please don't leave" days again. Just this morning as i carried him before i left for work, my mom had to peel him away from me just so that i can go to work, and my heart hurts to see this small little face, filled up with tears and sadness as i leave. He just wanted so much to follow. On top of the early mornings that we are getting now, it's also a daily challenge this week to get him to go to bed. He doesn't want to sleep , he would rather i carry him around the house with all the lights off, and lay on my shoulder, and looking out the window. If not, he wants to be laying on my bed, and either busy with touching his socks (oh he discovered those anti-slip thingys at the base of his socks, and this bothers him), or sitting up constantly to talk.
We wonder what it would be like putting him to sleep tonight, and what tomorrow morning would be like. He gets moody at very small things, and i'm like now collecting a list of things he doesn't like, and for one is crying babies. Everytime he is near one, he gets uptight and tense, and just wants to go as far as away as possible. Kaylen has his extreme and i always say that Kaylen has a twin within him (his zodiac sign is Gemini which is also the sign of the twins). He is at times so well behaved & quiet, and would just do whatever you ask him to, and his other side, unruly, talking away, and emotional. Hmmm, of what i read recently that Jayce emailed me - horoscope's personality, and so much true of the Gemini, and we see some of these traits in Kay as well.
GEMINI - The Chatterbox Smart and witty. Outgoing, very chatty. Lively, energetic.Adaptable but needs to express themselves. Argumentative and outspoken. Likeschange. Versatile. Busy, sometimes nervous and tense. Gossips. May seemsuperficial or inconsistent, but is only changeable. Beautiful physically and mentally.
And when i read that of the Virgo (+ jayce says it is totally 100% describing me), and yes it is very much me.
VIRGO - The Perfectionist. Dominant in relationships.. Conservative. Always wants the last word.Argumentative. Worries. Very smart. Dislikes noise and chaos. Eager.Hardworking. Loyal. Beautiful. Easy to talk to. Hard to please. Ha rsh.Practical and very fussy. Often shy. Pessimistic.
I'm just hoping that Kaylen will feel better (with his mood swings), and his horrid ulcer disappearing, and we're all making sure that during this hot weather, he has all his fluids to ensure that he doesn't fall sick again. Hope to be able to complete my list of scrap to do's over the weekend.

How sweet is this??
Super sweet ain't it??? Especially when it comes from my good friend KY whose made this for me for Valentine's Day (but i only opened to read my e-mail today that i found this). She's picked out all photos of Kay's growing up days, and it means lots to me to have this done. To have this at the end of the day makes me feel happy. Thanks, thanks KY!!!!
I'm blessed to have friends like her, and for all the years, i treasure each of their friendship & they are for keeps. I'm one with very few friends who are close to my heart, and as we grow older, i know i have our friendships to grow old with.

Something about Uncle Yixi....
Yes whenever Kaylen hears this name "Shui Gu" or "Uncle Yixi", he will have this certain facial expression, and for sure Kaylen would always be so much well behaved, listens to ever single word or command that Yixi says. 100% good boy, and nothing like what I'm getting at home. Yixi is strict with him, and always a disciplinary master sort of Uncle making sure that Kaylen listens when he gets unruly with me.
So our weekends was spent at Ikea yesterday afternoon, and by the look on Kaylen's face, you would know just "how much" Kaylen loves to be around his Uncle Yixi. Here you go....kay's expression speaks for itself..Why i'm at Ikea yesterday? Cause i ask my brother to help take some February pictures of Kay with his Canon 40D (and he just started picking up professional photo taking), and as a beginner, i thought they turned out ok (at least better than those i take with my Sony DigiCam). I'm not complaining Bro, truly thankful that you burned your only rest day afternoon to bring us to Ikea & to bring Canny along (we named his Canon - Canny, lame right???)
Alright enjoy the faces of this little one as it only brings smiles to my face.

Hello Sunday
How was your Valentine's Day? Mine went well other than the fact that my car won't start in the morning when i had to sent Kaylen to playgroup, and the other fact that the free bus ride from Punggol mall has changed, and no longer stops at the bus stop infront of my block. So you can imagine having to carry this sack of 10kg rice (jayce always calls carrying Kaylen a pack of rice), and walking from one corner to the other, panting, arms breaking and what have you. Rest of the day went well.

Have been taking a break from scrapbooking for the past 2 days, and had been trying out making fabric buttons. I'm just playing around to see how i can have these handmade fabric buttons used in my future scrap LO's. We'll see how it goes. Was also contemplating on another mini book for Kaylen which i would like to journal about & titled - "Now" (his personality, his likes, and how he is at 21 months). It's one of those moment thingy which i felt at this point of time, i see lots of changes in him, and would like to document it done. Have already written out my thoughts & sayings, just need to sort out the photos taken from the last 2 weeks, work on the style & type of mini book it would be, and colours used for this particular book. Will most likely post about this in the next few posts.
Just read from one of my favourite scrap artist - Aida's blog that her work has been copied, and this can be truly very annoying cause credit was taken for someone else, and money was made from such a incident. This sort of behavious sucks, and these copy cats just don't seem to think about how this affects their image, and causing so much emotions. What's worst is that i guess in the scrapping scene, everyone knows. Where have all the originality gone too? This groses me out, and when will it ever stop???
Alrighty before Kaylen wakes up from his morning nap, and all fun again, i better go think of what i would like to scrap today!! Maybe just one layout to start???
It's another day of Kite day at Punggol, and where i leave is right smack opposite of this large field, and from my window, i see loads of bright cheery coloured kites, large & small, & of all sorts of animals (kaylen likes the gigantic frog kite) yesterday when it started, and today another brand new day, and hoping to see more of these lovely later in the afternoon.

In the mood for LOVE
Definietly feeling totally in love at this moment since Valentine's Day just 1 day away. Not that i have the whole of tomorrow all planned out with my sweethearts, just that it's just going to be a very regular Saturday for me. No work tomorrow, just loads of Kaylen tomorrow for me.
Just me & Kay for the whole of tomorrow, from playgroup in the morning to just plain simple spending time with each other at home, and dinner as usual at my grams place. Jayce will be at work, and we are just planning to get ourselves a tasty cake, and eat together at home for desert (yes, going to let kaylen have some cake as well). Now that i'm a mommy, i pretty much like quietness, no crowded places for me. It's no longer a couple day for me & jayce, we very much love the fact that we have kaylen with us from day one, and has gotten so used to that if we don't have him out with us, it just feels weird.

Love makes you do.....
Silly things. That's how i'm chosing to end this statement. I love Kaylen so very much that once i get home, i'm totally letting loose (yes like going crazy as my dad would say sometimes when he sees me play with Kaylen), and i'm enjoying every single moment of both this craziness. It's just me whenever i'm around Kaylen, and mind you it's not that Kaylen has a looney mommy, just a laughing loads, and action crazy mommy, that's all when we play together.
On another note of how work week started yesterday, i'm totally trying to do my very best i can , and thanks Shirley for those words, it helps me get through this week thinking that i'm not alone.
I was up till 3am yesterday, and yes i'm done with all my Valentine Day projects, cards are sent out today , and the love book i made for Kaylen is all done, and i'm happy at how the overall book turned out.
