It's Friday..

My week's are always flying past me so quickly. How have yours been? Before i rant on, would just love to thank you gals out there for leaving me such great comments, and it only motivates me more to share my scrap work as i create. Am just loving this hobby of mine so much that scrapbooking has became part of my life. If i don't scrap for a few days in a row, i just don't feel right. So thank you for coming by my blog.

I was asked in one of the comments to go through putting together my 1st ever acrylic album, so i hope to do write more of this in my next posting. So bear with me for awhile till i put together.

Just completed LO for a challenge at Made with Love, and here's my take. We are to DE-HOARD (something which we have kept for a long time & not used) one or more items + one memorable event in our lives. In my LO, i'm de-hoarding Autumn Leaves Heather Bailey PP & chipboards....

Best Birthday Ever
Journalling Reads:-
Celebrating my 32nd Birthday as a new mom
was certainly exciting. You were only 4 mths
old and such a dear.
To have you celebrate with me was just the
best birthday present ever.

At this moment, it's all about Ranger's Sticklers & Liquid Pearls...just simply enjoying using these lovely stuff on each of my last 3 LO's. I'm just so crazy about them. Had them for quite sometime, but only started to venture using them. After 1 to 2 times of use, i just can't leave without them now....

We're having guest over on Sunday. Not any ordinary guest, it's my lil brother Yixi & Jianxi + Vicole their friend, whose coming to my place for hours of scrapping. Can you believe this???? My very own brother coming to my place TO SCRAP!!! the part is TO SCRAP i must repeat....he has never been too fond of my hobby....we'll see.
Have a great weekend ahead!!!!

I got myself one of these...

Just can't get enough of the latest K&Co Amy Butler series of products that i got myself last week one of these totes (bought the last piece at MWL - grey & green floral one). Now it's sitting pretty on my scrap desk awaiting for me to decide what to fill up with. I was just pondering on this for quite awhile last night, taking things in and out of the tote, and in the end, the tote is still empty. We'll see when i get back home tonight.

It's already mid week, and time just flies by. It's almost going to be 1 month away from Christmas - my fave season of the year...can't wait till this weekend cause our Christmas tree will be up, and yes i get to take out my Christmas decor for the house as well....yipeeee.

Loads to look forward to this week...

Today

I'm at home, and spending time with Kaylen which is always so precious to me. My mom needed some time away to do her stuff, so here i am taking care of Kay today. Daddy is also back home this afternoon today from camp, so just the 3 of us. My lil brother has just gotten Kaylen his very 1st set of Crayola Jumbo crayons, since yesterday he has been doodling away full power (thanks goodness for these jumbo crayons that are hard to break), cause kay has been vigourously dotting away. Here you have it, his master piece (please ignore the drawing of what looks like a fish & a flower, cause it's daddy's own work of art). So once this drawing is done, will have it incoporated into one of my upcoming LO.

Today's post will be mostly be pictures of my 2 completed albums - one mini & one acrylic. Here there are:-

Mini Book Titled : Just Us
Chipboard album - Maya Rd
Done all using October Afternoon's latest paper - Weathervane
+ rubons
Mainly capturing the few moments we have of ourselves (me & Jayce) with Kay at different
stages of his life

Acrylic Album Titled : Being Together
Meant for my lil brother's upcoming ROM in Dec 08
Patterned Paper - Making Memories & Hambly's / Ki Memories
lace cardstock
Overlays - Hambly's
Rub on - Fiskars (Kimberly Poloson), K&Co, 7Gypsies
Chipboard - Scenic Route

That's all for today.

This made my day

Nothing beats being happier than knowing that my recent LO of Kaylen titled "You" got selected as "Layout of the Week" at Made with Love as this week's pick, and selected by Leena, their talented design team member whom i'm a great fan of. Thanks so very much. and certainly a great way to start my Monday. Check out the link here:-

We have someone special visiting....

Definitely very special, to Kaylen that is. He's gotten the surprise of his life when last evening, we brought home with us his pal - Mickey. This Mickey of his belongs his aunt Jianxi whom we sort of "on loan" for the next couple of months to make way for some space in her current room, and usually when we visit, Kaylen would always be so happy to see Mickey, and he has always to give him a big hug. And this time with me bringing Mickey back, you can imagine the look on Kay's face. Totally super duper happy about this. So from last night, Mickey was almost wherever Kaylen went (that is that us parents has to lug Mickey wherever Kay wanted to go). His favourite thing was to sit infront of Mickey and be in front of him and suck his own fingers (as usual).

Now onto scrapping. Completed more x'mas cards, and here are the cards i will be sending out this year to my pals. Fresh from the scrap oven...

And here are pics of Kay w/ his pal - Mickey.

Kay picking fluff out for his pal

Even as he is getting ready for playgroup this morning, he was watching Monsters,Inc
with Mickey by his side
So from now till Mickey leaves us in the next couple of months to return back to its owner, i'm sure Kay is having the time of his life when he comes home everyday to this cute plush (mind you, mickey is heavy when either me or jayce has to carry him around....hmmmm)

Has a great morning with Kay & mickey, then was off to playgroup with Kay, and in the afternoon was meeting Wen for a short while at Laine's, and i'm glad that now i have a scrap buddy to go shopping with. We're suppose to meet again for one of our "evil" shopping plots with discounts. So i'm looking forward very much to just spending time with her cause both of us don't get much time to meet, and before last week's crop at my place, i think i only met Wendy on countable times.

Till my next post, hope your Saturday has been exciting so far!

This is ME

It's me at 33 years. Did this LO with K&Co Amy Butler paper which i cannot get enough of, and since it's a LO about me , i incorporated my fave stuff. So from Hambly's birdcage, to K&Co's diecuts (ain't they sweeeeet!!!), and Melissa Frances Anna Griffin epoxy stickers, and ended up with a pink girly girl LO. I'm not exactly a fan of pink, but since these products i chosen are of this shade & it matches with the Amy Butler paper, why not?

Title : Me at 33
Journaling reads:-
a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother
+
100% scrap addict (that's what my hubby calls me)

And how can i not use STICKLERS (crystal), they go well with the floral cut outs

I had a great week, however tiring as i'm mostly looking after Kay after work by myself and we look forward to having our big guy again with us at the end of next week. The home just feels weird that it's now just one person lesser (that's how it is to me, cause kay doesn't even bother that daddy is not around most of the days)

Like how it is, i'm always looking forward to the weekends, and another 3 more weeks of having the scrap supplies laying around before i have to pack up and keep till our guests leave. On my scrap to do list, one more mini book to complete within this week, 1 ROM album to almost complete, X'mas cards are finally completed yesterday, but i figure i have to make more cause i miscalculated the quantity and i'm all done for the must complete projects till my next to do scrap list.

Signing off for now!!! + looking forward to MWL's personalised gift for their SFL members. Can't wait to see what the lovely surprise is all about.

Have a Happy Friday!!

{C.R.E.A.T.E}

Using K&Co's latest patterened paper by Amy Butler for me latest LO of Kay taken 2 months back. I'm one who is not keen on using boy related patterned paper or embellishment on Kay's LO and i would just go with creating with what i like in each scrap brand's release of new products. So be it floral, girly themed stuff, you would see such things used in Kay's LO. I'm just so loving Amy Butler designs & colours...here's a simple 8 1/2 x 11" LO did last night, and love how i can use sticklers on the flower center.

Jayce is back home today, so it's spending good quality family time tonight with him & Kay. And would be trying to complete my 1st mini album which i titled "Just Us", and using the latest October Afternoon "Weathervane" series which i'm so crazy about + to complete my lil brother's ROM wedding album (few more pages to go before completion). Definitely busy busy for me.

Have a good day and thanks for visiting.
